About the Property:



Just one hour from Yellowstone, in Cody WY. 3 log cabins together in a U shape, plus a bunkhouse cabin and a gathering space/game room. You have the entire property! 

Beautiful mountain views, amazing sunsets, and privacy while only a 5 minute drive into town or the airport. An ideal location for family vacations or reunions, retreats, group getaways, or even intimate weddings. 

No matter the size of your group, whether it is 4 or 18 - this is the perfect spot to experience beautiful Wyoming! 



The Space: (See Picture Captions) 

*John Wayne Cabin - sleeps 6-7 - 2 bedrooms (Kings), bathroom, living room (pull out sofa with queen memory foam mattress), loft (futon), kitchen, washer/dryer 

*Annie Oakley Cabin - sleeps 2-4 - 1 bedroom (King), bathroom, living room (pull out sofa with queen memory foam mattress), kitchen, washer/dryer 

*Walt Longmire Cabin - sleeps 2-4 - 1 bedroom (King), bathroom, living room (pull out sofa with queen memory foam mattress), kitchen, washer/dryer

 *Buffalo Bill Bunkhouse - sleeps 4 - Dry cabin with 2 sets of sturdy bunk beds, good for cowboys or cowgirls of any age 

* Rodeo Room - Game room with board games, shuffle board, air hockey, and foosball; sofa, TV, and table 

The three main cabins sit together with a cozy courtyard in the middle for your campfire. There is plenty of outdoor seating as well as outdoor dining tables on the wrap around decks to enjoy all the views.

Host is not located on site, but we strive to be readily available through email, text, or phone. Please excuse the delay if we’re off to the mountains without service for a bit! 

Saddlestring Ranch is unique in its location - you get that spacious, Wyoming, out in the country experience with 2 1/2 acres to yourself, but you’re also just a few minutes from downtown Cody, the greatest cowboy town in the US! Rodeos every night in the summers, lots of great shops and dining, 5 museums in 1 at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. And of course all the adventures to explore this beautiful part of the country - fly fishing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, off-roading, kayaking, etc! We'll share with you some of our favorite recommendations for restaurants, shops, and activities in Cody, as well as day trip suggestions as well!



* Up to 3 pets are allowed with a $75 per pet fee. Please inform us if bringing more than 1 pet.



*Please do not move furniture in cabins or the game room, including outdoor tables and game tables.

Perfect Family Getaway

Property was perfect for our 4 families of 13 to get together for 11 days. Separate cabins and bunk area worked great for individual families and game room to gather together. Communication with host was above excellent. Cabins were clean (much better than most rentals) and 3 minutes from the airport made it even better.

Great Place for Groups

We loved our stay at Saddlestring. The furnishings were comfortable and the host was communicative and helpful. We loved waking up each morning to enjoy our coffee while taking in the views and the beautiful weather. We were even able to see some deer and bunnies. We would definitely recommend this property, especially for groups!

Excellent choice for any occasion

Check-in process was easy and the property is beautiful and comfy. It is located two minutes from downtown yet far enough away that nights are quiet. The cabins are very spacious and inviting. The outdoor visitation area is amazing with a charcoal grill and fire pit for smores (which they provide). The hosts are very nice and accommodating, willing to make your stay as good as possible. Overall it was the most relaxing few days in years and we will be going back in the future.

Too good to be true!

This property was better than anything I could have imagined for the type of vacation and different family groups involved. The hosts were extremely responsive to communications, and very patient with the numerous questions sent by one weary traveler (me) after an extremely long day of flight, delays, etc. I hope I get the opportunity to take this trip again!!

Hanging at the ranch

12 of us stayed here for 2 nights hanging out and resting getting ready for our horseback trip into the mountains. Great place for hanging out around the fire pit. We had all three cabins and bunkhouse. Very clean and comfortable.. it was perfect.

Great setup for extended families

We loved being able to stay close to each other while still having our own spaces. The teens loved the bunk room. And the Rodeo room was a hit with everyone! We felt everything was well appointed. And the welcoming touches like the milk and eggs in the fridge and a starter supply of coffee and sugar were great! Even better was the S’mores kit! We loved the place and highly recommend!

Wonderful place for a family gathering!

Over the 4th of July holiday, we stayed at Saddlestring with 15 people ranging from 1 to 75 years old. It was a perfect property for multiple families - great gathering and individual family spaces. Our three dogs loved the extra space for exploring and the kids spent most of the time playing shuffleboard and air hockey in the rodeo room. Emily and Josh left thoughtful surprises in each house, from local eggs to s’mores ingredients. They were also extremely attentive hosts, responding to inquiries immediately and even visiting when we had a few things we could not figure out. Overall, a lovely, well-appointed, thoughtfully designed and tastefully decorated property.

Comfy and lots of room

We really enjoyed the rec room and the beds were super comfy. I’d love to have those pillows at home. Having 3 separate cabins was perfect for our family! On the downside, it was clean but we had some mice and there were some nails sticking up on the deck. The dumpster was full when we arrived but when I contacted the host, she had it picked up. We have stayed at many Vrbo properties and have never been asked to flush our toilet paper. I think for the price they charge, they could update their septic system.

Family vacation

Overall the set up was almost perfect for a family vacation. We all appreciated having our own space and having washer and dryers in the cabins. The game room was a bonus we all enjoyed playing the games. The fire pit was nice for the evenings we stayed in and everyone enjoyed playing horseshoes. The inside of the cabins were clean and nicely decorated. The outside needed attention and some repairs. The grounds needed mowing. We discovered that the neighbors did not like us walking on the roads since they posted a no trespassing sign in the middle of the road. The hot water heater could not keep up when we all decided to take showers. It’s was a bit of a drive to get to Yellowstone but it was close to town. There was not an eating area that accommodate the entire group unless we hauled to the game room. The hostess left milk and fresh eggs with coffee and breakfast treats which we all enjoyed.
