Welcome to our cozy Casita surrounded by lemon groves, tropical vegetation, and panoramic views of rolling hills.
Nestled in the ideal location in Elfin Forest, close to everything but secluded enough for relaxing, quiet time and privacy.
Step outside and you are right on the trails connecting you to miles of scenic hiking & biking in Elfin Forest. Just a stone’s throw to San Elijo’s village with breweries, shopping, and restaurants and only 10 miles to Encinitas’s beaches.
The space
Enjoy the refreshing ocean breeze that flows through the Casita. Each room has a ceiling fan, and during the warmer months, we provide a portable air conditioner. In the winter, we offer a heater for your comfort.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook, including a Keurig K-Supreme Plus coffee maker, Instant Pot, juicer, waffle maker, and a full-size fridge with filtered water and an ice maker. We provide a selection of coffee and tea, as well as creamer, sugar, basic seasonings, and cooking essentials.

The bedroom features a comfortable California king bed with quality bedding, a blackout shade, and a small walk-in closet. You’ll find a variety of pillows and blankets in different firmness levels, and touch nightlights with USB ports by the bed.

There’s a designated workspace in the living room with a comfortable office chair, a small Bluetooth Bose speaker, and a selection of books. A smart TV is available for streaming (please log in to your own accounts).

The bathroom includes luxury shampoo, conditioner, body wash, a hair dryer, curling iron, and plenty of towels.

A washer and dryer are also available for guest use in the garage, along with laundry detergent, drying racks, and hangers.

Outside, there’s a small patio with seating where you can relax, as well as a BBQ grill available for your use.

Relaxing Casita in the Elfin Forest

We visited the area from Minnesota for a much needed get away in January. We loved the following things about this Casita: rural location but close to everything gorgeous landscaping and views simple yet beautiful decor well equipped kitchen including spices frog, coyote and bird sounds comfy king size bed & bedding high quality bathroom toiletries and fluffy towels fresh lemons from the grove lots of natural light/large windows gracious host

Hillside hideaway

What an absolute gem of a property! The casita was even better in person, which I would not have thought possible. Perfectly appointed, down to every detail we could have wanted. The king bed was very comfortable and the bedroom was a nice size. The living room and kitchen were decorated so nicely, and had everything you'd want for a long weekend stay. The host was very helpful and quick with communication. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Casita

The neighborhood is easily accessible via the Olivenhain Road exit from Interstate 15. Elfin Forest is known for its natural beauty, scenic landscapes, and abundant wildlife. The Elfin Forest Recreational Reserve features over 11 miles of hiking, biking, and equestrian trails, allowing residents and visitors to explore the stunning oak groves, grasslands, and chaparral habitats. Despite its rural setting, Elfin Forest is within close proximity to modern amenities. Nearby shopping centers, restaurants, and entertainment options can be found in neighboring communities such as San Marcos, Escondido, and Encinitas.
