Enjoy our newly renovated & refurnished home where you will find everything you need for a peaceful & fun retreat. A fully equipped kitchen, dining room with gorgeous mountain views, 2 slides, smart TV's, fireplace, grill, fire pit & family friendly kids space. Enjoy perfect mornings & evenings on one of our many decks. With so much to do in the surrounding areas you will never get bored! 30 minutes from Blue Ridge, GA the Ocoee River and Lake Hiwassee! This region is full of outdoor activities like hiking, boating, fishing, river rafting, zip-lining, horse back riding and more! Murphy is a hidden gem in the Appalachian Mountains just waiting for you to explore!

Quaint Cabin

Beautiful, well equipped cabin with an amazing view. We had excellent communication with the owner before and during our stay. The cabin is nicely decorated and provides a very relaxing atmosphere.

Cozy and rustic

This cabin was really cozy and rustic. It was nice to stay somewhere without the usual kitschy cabin decor. The layout and location of the house felt like we were in a treehouse! We loved how kid-friendly it was. Just keep in mind that the steps are very steep! Kimber was incredibly responsive before and throughout the trip. Would definitely come back!

Not what we expected

The house looks nice in the photos but the stairs to the second floor and to the basement are treacherous. The road up to the home is a narrow steep dirt road. I would recommend having a truck to get up to the location. The view is absolutely stunning.

It was not as well kept as I would have hoped. Had to know down a lot of spider webs. The road/driveway was terrible. I nearly got stuck twice. There was not clear path to the family/game room above the garage. We had to go to the road, walk up the hill and enter from there. I nearly slipped on the gravel coming back down. the door to the bathroom was loose. We had to pull up on the door to get it to shut. Same with the front door. I did not receive any check-in instructions. had to message the owner twice before receiving access code well after check in time. also no check out procedures. Had to message about that as well.

Why they chose this property

We have found that Murphy is a hidden gem! It's beautifully situated in the Appalachian mountains with a gorgeous river, lake for recreation and quaint historic downtown. But it's a quiet, peaceful undiscovered location! Murphy has that old small town charm but still has the modern conveniences you want and it's only a 30 minute drive away from every outdoor activity you could wish for!

What makes this property unique

We kept the cozy log cabin charm of the home but also updated and added some modern touches. I like to call it our rustic modern cabin. We are parents of young kids so we wanted to create a cabin that's family friendly but also a welcoming place for guests of all ages.
