We really enjoyed staying here with our dogs. It’s a very clean and very spacious house. The backyard is fenced in, so the dogs had a place to run around for a bit.

This property is a quaint, older home with modern upgrades and retro style interior design. Very clean and efficient. We were thinking the beach was out the back door rather than a block away; but for our weekend it worked out just fine.

We loved staying at this property for my daughter’s graduation from Oberlin College. The house is so cozy and we loved the eclectic throwback feel. The hosts thought of everything and they were very hospitable! They even left a grad gift for my daughter ❤️ We loved being so close to the lake. The sunsets were amazing!!!

Happy with Rental

Host was amazing. Best host ever. Nice yard for pups and comfortable in home. Any issues were taken care of quickly. Only thing I would let people know that house on main road so busy at times. A lot of nice touches like laundry chute in bathroom and detail in kitchen. Basement was a nice bonus. Welcome basket another nice touch as well.

We rented the house to have a family Thanksgiving and birthday gathering for my Mom. There is plenty of space in the house and lots of seating. It would have been good to have serving pieces in the kitchen. We had to go out to the Dollar Tree to get aluminum pans for serving. The kitchen is huge and we loved having the gas stove. Some of the utensils were missing and we supplemented with some stuff from my mom's cottage. Diana was right on top of getting ice melter deployed on the steps after the snow came.

The home.was booked for 2 people and no mention of a dinner party or 7guests staying overnight. TAMI Tami, If you would have mentioned your intentions we would have asked you if there was anything you may need. My apolagy if you feel the kitchen needs more utensils. Our guest suggestions are appreciated,considered and often implemented if shared. You spoke.to me several times while staying and didnt ask for anything and gave us a 4 rating. Feel free to offer suggestions as we always consider what our guests need if known. Also honest booking info regarding your guest list would be appreciated as well.

Last minute Christmas

Decided last minute to come to Ohio for Christmas. Beautiful older home. Had ongoing issues with maintaining the heat due to WiFi and nest. Mnimal utensils for cooking so bring or buy your own.

We.do apologize for any inconvenience and the thermostat is also manually controlled as well which we went over with you. The chef in a kitchen may have some preferred utensiles and we would prefer your suggestions. Guest comments are addressed, reviewed and considerations may be concluded. What do you suggest would be a added utensil based on your preferences ? We appreciate your stay, and value input on any idea, preference or needs of our properties. Thank you for your comments On a different note, we did find 2 keys on the fire place mantle, and called you to advise. If you need the keys returned,, please advise we arehappy to mail them to you. We will however need a mailing address. Thank you

The location near the lake was the main perk; otherwise, we did not have a good experience. The pull-out couches are not really beds but inexpensive futons. The downstairs/basement was dark, cold and uncomfortable, and our kids did not feel comfortable sleeping there. The downstairs “bathroom” was a toilet behind shower curtains used as makeshift walls, and the “shower” was essentially a spigot on the wall over concrete. There was no toilet paper, and the garbage disposal did not work, causing the sink to repeatedly clog. These conditions were disappointing and not what we felt the listing represented.Our biggest issue, however, was how the situation with the host was handled. We were in town for a retirement party and had a small gathering afterward. The property rules did not prohibit gatherings. The host called that night after neighbors complained about noise. We immediately cooperated, apologized, sent our guests home and ended the gathering.At 7 a.m. the next morning, VRBO called saying the host wanted us to leave. No specific checkout time was given. We began packing and getting our children up. Around 10 a.m., the host arrived pounding on the door, greeted us with “Why are you still here?” and threatened to call police if we were not out within 30 minutes. We rushed to leave and had to find other accommodations. Regardless of the noise complaint, the way the situation was handled felt unnecessarily hostile and unprofessional.

While we appreciate bookings and.love servicing guests, you did violate house rules regarding " quiet time", proper reason for your traveling and booking with improper intent and guest count requested. Having a loud gathering with more.than 12.people.until.5 am disturbed my neighbors.who.notified me.at 120 am and ask.that I review in my Outdoor ring camera the activities which was loud and very late disturbing there rights in their home. Loud after "quiet time" rule to protect and respect others.(neighbors) 6 vehicles in a 4 vehicle driveway is a violation Booked for 2.people but had more than 2 sleeping in the home as based.on your review comments. When booked you stated a celebration for your mother, ut when asked.if you had her celebration at our property, you replied no, it was head.at a aunts When asked.if you reviewed Homes policies. You replied you did read the house rules. It wasnt I that came and asked you to leave as you were late departing and you were.informed.by Vrbo notification to chk.out by 10 am, normal chk.out time. Wish you the.best regardless as our house rules take all.people into consideration.
