Response to Defamatory and Misleading Review: Clarifying False Claim Dear Catherine, I am disappointed by the defamatory and discreditory nature of your review, which is based on false facts. To clarify: 1. Pre-Stay Property Visit: You visited the property on May 19th before booking and were enthusiastic about reserving it afterward. You were fully aware of the house’s condition and location before confirming your stay. 2. Knowledge of the Area: As someone whose mother lives in Saint Jeannet, you know the area well. Your comments regarding the roads and access are misleading and inaccurate for someone familiar with the region. 3. House Condition: Your claims about the condition of the property, including the mention of a minor crack in the external stairs, are irrelevant to the rental experience. The house and garden are in excellent condition, as reflected by my consistent 5-star reviews and my status as a Superhost on other rental platforms. These points can be easily verified. 4. Payment Issues: You defaulted on your payments and were dishonest about it. I flagged this issue with VRBO customer service, and they even advised me not to accept your booking. Despite this, I chose to give you another chance. 5. Late Checkout Request: I declined your late checkout request because I had new guests arriving the same day. It is evident that your review was retaliatory and not a fair reflection of your stay. Given these false claims, I have initiated an official investigation with VRBO regarding your fraudulent comments.
