A little Slice of Heaven!

A little slice of Heaven!A Parisian friend highly recommended this location in the Lot region so I would discover how the French really live, away from the usual touristy spots. The best kept secret ever! This much needed 3-day retreat was the ultimate pampering I needed. The sumptuous site “Les Pierres Lotoises” is run by delightfully warm and attentive French hosts, Elisabeth and Eric. I want to return in the summer with my daughter to take full advantage of the breathtaking countryside, the oversized outdoor pool, the gourmet artisanal cuisine and to further explore this incredible region! I booked The Cottage which can accommodate up to 6 people and relished the extra space (3 separate bedrooms, two levels, an unforgettable two-entry XL shower, immaculate, fully appointed and renovated, incredible daylight with views of the bucolic countryside from every room). The attention to details was first-class: Luxury linens and towels, complimentary bottle of Champagne (stayed for New Year), complimentary luxury brand toiletry necessities… There is a fabulous spa onsite. I treated myself to an unforgettable gourmet brunch by and with the owners (extra but so worth the 45 euros!)… I could go on. So much to see and do in the area: the breathtaking 11th century town of Rocamadour, the incredible Lascaux pre-historic caves were the two most memorable daytrips, wonderful hiking and day-planning recommended by the owners, etc…Merci Elisabeth and Eric!
