The house is exactly as described and the owner is very responsive. We’ve stayed here multiple times and will return. The location is ideal for Black Mountain and convenient to Asheville etc.
I didn’t carry my dog . The owner didn’t even know that his house was still on the site , and wasn’t prepared for guests . Mr.Max was very surprised but was also nice about the situation. I had to wait 45 minutes after check in time to get a code to get into the house . But with all of that I enjoyed the visit and the area . The house was completely furnished with anything you would need and attractive.
This was a very nice home to stay if your visiting Black mountain. It is also near other Asheville so it be a great place if your visiting there too. It was a very comfortable home and very quiet.

Great house for us to walk to our daughter’s home! All the amenities we needed were there. Max was very responsive when I was unsure of check in and check out procedure, very simple.
The property was perfect for our family. We needed a longer rental for our relocation to the area. This home had all the essentials plus. It felt like our home away from home. The owner was courteous and helpful, but our stay was so easy we never had to reach out.

Perfect Place to Rest
We were delighted with the Bungalow! Perfect place to launch from to see all of Black Mountain, Montreat, Asheville, Lake Tomahawk and Sliding Rick. Restaurants were amazing and we hit the Farmers Market and purchased delicious produce to cook in the huge kitchen at our stay. Spacious bedrooms and bath. Fantastic back deck where we enjoyed morning coffee and the local birds and bunnies. No direvtions for TV viewing but didn't mind. Will recommend and stay again!

Max
We enjoyed our stay at Max’s house. It was just the right size and very clean except for dog hair on the rugs. We do not have animals and we’re not expecting to see that especially since I assume there is an extra cleaning fee for bringing your pet. Also we were given the wrong door code so we had to contact Max and wait about 20 minutes for his response so that we could get in. Overall it was a good place to stay with comfortable beds, nice kitchen and bathrooms. We would stay there again.
We've stayed in many VRBO's from Hawaii to Prague -- and this place is simply outstanding in every way -- except for the hard-to-read street number posted on a pillar at the front. It took us too long to find the house in the dark.

Needs deep clean
The property did not come up to our expectations in cleanliness when we checked in there was dog hair all over the carpet. There were crumbs and shelves were not wiped down in the refrigerator. The counter was not wiped down. Every windowsill had dust all over it. we were very disappointed in the cleanliness aspect of the property.

Even if you had made your last payment as scheduled, the system would have alerted us to the need for completion of the housekeeping tasks which remained or needed redone because of the winds and storm of Hurricane Helene. Yes, we had been in the house to cut the water heater off and back on, etc., as directed by the Black Mountain system employees. And we would have been there again to reclean for your arrival had you not passed by the deadline for your last payment. I'm sorry.

Good for what we needed
The house worked out fine for us. It was close to the venue where we spent most of our time during the week. It was a place to maybe eat a quick meal between events and rest up at the end of the night. When we did want to lounge, it just wasn't very comfortable. The one TV was very small and the couch not super comfy. The bed in the master bedroom was also noisy and not very comfy. So, a couple of the features were a little disappointing, but it was ultimately a good place for what was needed. If I had to do it all over again, I would still stay there.
