About Patty Squires
This is such a beautiful area where my children and I did a lot of camping when they were small. One of my sons settled here after going to UNCA where he met his wife. He found this property for me, and I bought it just from seeing the photos. There was a small house and two out buildings that he completely rebuilt, and since I love making a warm and welcoming home I decided to rent the 2 out buildings for weekend vacationers.
Patty Squires purchased this Cabin in 2005
Why Patty Squires chose Asheville
The property is very unique with a large, natural pond and small mountain stream. A dock over the pond, deck surrounding the cabin, and fireside seats and benches provide quaint comfort to enjoy the views and bask in the beauty of the inspiring Blue Ridge Mountains. There is so much tranquility here and yet you are only minutes from downtown Asheville.
What makes this Cabin unique
I knew I had made the right decision to retire here from the first time I stepped onto the property. It just felt like the home I had always dreamed of.

Loved everything about the location, was very quiet, we had a lot of privacy.
Perfect little get away!
After a long drive the Lilly Pad cabin was perfect. Awesome porch for reading and playing cards. Inside was quiet and cozy. Lots of windows for natural light, would definitely recommend!!
Stay at the Lily Pad
Really nice location. It's a little small but it has everything you need for a very enjoyable experience. Really enjoyed sitting on the deck by the pond and watching the ducks. Good place to get away and relax.
Patty was a wonderful hostess and the cottage was perfect!
This property is just perfect, very close to town but far enough to be quiet and serene! Inside is modern and very clean pine wood ceiling, beautiful updated bathroom and a wonderful balcony overlooking the pond. Patty is very accommodating and pleasant! We loved it and will recommend to our friends!
Perfect little spot for R&R
The Lilly Pad was the perfect little place to relax after a long day of meetings. The shower was like a spa! The porch overlooking the pond was the best way to start and end your day.
