This is such a nice place to come after a long day of sightseeing. It is so nice to relax on the porch, watch the deer and listen to the coyotes. Had a great time and the hosts were exceptionally helpful. When we plan our next visit we would like to stay here again.
Absolutely loved our stay. Plenty of wildlife each evening, stunting views, super comfy beds. Great communication from the owner. We were in town for the Sturgis 2025 85th rally, we put over 1000 miles on our bike while we were there. Close to many attractions. We love the town of Sundance. We are definitely coming back to stay again.
The cabin was a great place to stay. It is peaceful, lots of area to walk around outside and loved sitting outside in the evenings. The beds were very comfortable, good supply of towels, and the kitchen is adequately supplied with dishes, etc. We would definitely stay here again.
Located out in the country and the house is very large. The house was clean. Problems with TV signals and no air conditioner to keep in mind unless its winter. The owner was very nice and helpful.
We travel to Wyoming this time every year. We truly enjoyed our stay. We got to experience the beauty of the area & enjoyed hiking with our dogs. The wildlife literally came up to the cabin. The cabin was cozy as we had temperatures from 32 to 95 degrees during our stay. I cannot express how comfortable the accommodations were. Definitely making this our return destination!
If you want peace and quiet this is the place for you, absolutely stunning property. Well equipped, clean and comfortable. The wifi is weak but that didn't deter us as there was a visitor center a few miles up the road with free wifi, not sure about cell coverage as I don't own a cell phone. Near Devils Tower and Deadwood. I would give home on the range 5/5 gold stars
My wife and I have a very busy life and she is very social. We have eight children. Five of our children are off living their lives outside of our home and we are left with 9-year-old triplets and our 3 and 1/2-year-old German Shepherd to which my wife and I, the triplets and our German Shepherd Diesel was allowed to stay here. There was no TV. There was plenty of games, there was the most amazing scenery, we did not have the best cell phone service which made it even better, our big kids have got more of our time , and it was nice to put the phones down and spend it with the younger children. We especially appreciate that we were able to bring our 3 and 1/2-year-old male German Shepherd. He had a great time on this property. It was amazing. We all loved it. We highly recommend that if you want some family time and a great place that is amazing and so many things within the area to do to book this place because it was amazing!
Kathryn and I (David) have had been places and done things. We've lived in Washington, California, Alaska, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska (again!) and now here in Wyoming. In between we have had short stays in Iowa, Minnesota and South Dakota.
I've been a teacher and salesperson. Kathryn has been a mom to 4 kids, then went back to school for a Master's degree in science. That led to studying Grizzly bears in Alaska among other things.
Along the way we remodeled every house we've ever owned and even built one. We had a commercial salmon fishing boat, learned how to drive draft horses and explored all over this country and one or two others.
This is our third vacation rental.
Why they chose this property
We like having a unique house in a unique area. Our place is the second smallest parcel in miles at 21 acres. We are surrounded by large ranch parcels and Black Hills National Forest. It is absolutely quiet and has virtually no light pollution at night.
What makes this property unique
Our property is unique among vacation rentals in the area because it has room for larger groups, is very private, and yet is only 15 minutes from Sundance and 30 minutes to Spearfish.
