We needed a home for our family as our son was getting married in Ipswich. This space was perfect. Enough room for 8. Beautifully decorated. Rustic charm with the modern amenities. The views are spectacular. Very close to downtown. Amy was a pleasure to meet. We would absolutely recommend.
The barn was immaculate and beautifully decorated. We were in Ipswich for a family wedding and the property could not have been more charming or convenient.
We came with another family after seeing the photos online. This place is even more beautiful in person and was perfectly done. Very short drive into to town and the beach was beautiful as well. Great place all around and we hope to come back.
Unique and elegant yet rustic property, perfect stay
We had a perfect stay at the Barn for the holidays! Our family of 4 had a memorable holiday in the incredibly tastefully designed and authentic barn. First class amenities, complete with our farm friends (horse and goats) who welcomed us to the property. Feeling like a winter wonderland upon pulling into the property, the barn would also be amazing in the summer, just a short distance from incredible beaches. Amy is an excellent host, and we enjoyed every minute.
This is a beautiful property sitting on a farm surrounded by fields, orchards, a vineyard, horses, goats, dogs and a barn cat. Our daughter was getting married and we needed a place to stay for our family close to the venue. It was perfect. If you like open space, animals, being close to the beach and convenient to lots of nice small villages, this is a great place!
This barn is fantastic. Having such a large main area is a real plus. As it rained some of the time we were there, having this large living area meant that we did not feel like we were on top of each other. It is such a short drive to the spectacular Cranes beach. Loved seeing the birds, horses, and goats outside the windows.
This place is every bit as lovely as the pics would have you believe. Curious farm creatures keep an eye on you as you relax. Spacious and plenty private. High end kitchen in a huge first floor living area. This is a special property. The horses resent you being asked not to feed them tho… just ask them!
A Truly Magical – Elegant Design Meets Rustic Charm! From the moment we arrived, we knew this was going to be a special experience—but it completely exceeded our expectations. This stunning barn is the perfect blend of high-end elegance and cozy, rustic charm. Every detail, from the soaring beams to the luxurious finishes, felt thoughtfully curated. It’s clear the owners poured love and care into designing a space that’s both breathtaking and welcoming. What truly made our stay unforgettable, though, were the animals! We were greeted, upon arrival, with a magical moment, the property's white horse and two incredibly lovely goats appeared as we drove; they were a serene and magical touch to our mornings and evenings. We’d sip coffee on the porch while the goats playfully trotted by—it was like stepping into a storybook. If you’re looking for something unique, peaceful, and truly special, this is it. This barn is a hidden gem that offers more than just a place to stay—it offers an experience you’ll never forget. We can’t wait to come back!
This property was exactly as listed, beautiful! We were welcomed by fresh cut flowers and eggs from the farm. Apples from abutting orchard were supplied as well. Hard to beat location surrounded by scenery where farm meets the sea, peaceful and serene. We were just minutes from beautiful beaches, trails, and restaurants. This location had easy access to all this scenic area holds. It was hard to leave!
Communication with our host, Amy was excellent. She greeted us upon arrival to introduce us to this perfectly converted barn home and to answer any questions we may have. Amy and Jacob were a pleasure to meet, not intrusive, but warm and welcome to conversation. We had plenty of space for our family and all amenities were top notch.
No doubt, we will return in the future.
Our family stayed at the barn for a 3-day weekend around wedding events in Ipswich. This place is unusual in that it has an open space for many activities at once. On one day, hair was being styled, a speech was being written in the reading nook upstairs overlook, lunch and snacks were enjoyed at the enormous dining room table, puzzles and games were played on the couches and and kitchen table, and dresses were steamed in the corner. It was such a versatile space; everyone could be together having so many conversations. Some even practiced their music performances at other times. Having horses and goats to look at out the windows was a bonus!
Amy was accessible but not intrusive and responded to any question immediately. She lives across the driveway and tends to the animals.
We can't say enough good things about the magical time we spent here. Exceeded expectations! The beauty both outside (Russell Orchard is adjacent) and inside defy description.
Just a caveat for others...we are a close family and no one minded using the ensuite bathroom on the first floor as the primary one for all. It's the only shower (a classy clawfoot tub in the second floor bathroom was ok but not useful to us). The large and beautifully appointed first floor bathroom worked for us as powder room and shower. And some were able to tune in the Patriots game on the oversized smart TV on the third floor. The kitchen was modern and well equipped and more than met all our needs.
