Spacious Condo in Best Maui Location

Plenty of room for multiple guests or a family, with all the amenities you could want. Nice pool area and fantastic beach location. Conveniently next to the Whaler Village for restaurants and shopping. We had a fabulous time here!

Relaxing comfortable stay

I surprised my husband for his 50th birthday with a trip to Maui. I chose this property because of its proximity to his favorite snorkel spot Black rock and walking distance to all wonderful restaurants and shops at Whalers Village. I was nervous after reading some of the reviews but I am so happy to say we loved this property and would definitely rent again! It was a great location and property. Very spacious condo with many amenities. We loved the ice tea served in the lobby as well.

Family Getaway 2023

What a great way to get away to kick off 2023. We took all of our kids and parents and had a great time staying in multiple condos. This unit was very clean, spacious and comfortable and great for the family. The maintenance staff was onsite very quickly when we had an issue with the dishwasher and were very polite and accommodating. Looking forward to coming back next year.

The Whaler Tower 2 room 373 centrally located mid beach walk path.

Beautiful condo and grounds. Cannot beat location!! Pool was closed quite a few days while here… bummer. AC in living room and guest bedroom not working to capacity? Master bedroom AC worked great. Fans and open screen doors kept the rest comfortable enough. I highly recommend this place!! Hope to stay again!!

Awesome Locationg! Great Owners & More!

Our trip to Maui was great. We were there for 8 nights & 9 days. We took a cab from the airport and stopped at Costco and bought all of our groceries for the week. Saved BIG bucks! Nice clean condo with the washer and dryer just around the corner for convenience. My friend left her jewelry there and the cleaning personel found it and left it there for the owners. Very HONEST people! Thank you!

Great apartment- very noisy construction

Thankfully we knew about the construction and paid a lowered price but I had hoped that the worst would be over. Not so, we woke on our first morning to see six workmen emerge from an elevator on the lanai by our living room! The banging, jackhammering went on all day. Luckily we were able to get out but if you have small children-avoid till after March 2012. The apartment is huge and the location perfect.

We had a wonderful stay at the condo. Right from the entrance to the community and the condo itself was very calm and peaceful. The noise of the ocean waves from the reception itself were very welcoming. The condo was very spacious, clean, well maintained with a fully equipped kitchen. So it was easy to have breakfast and few meals. Boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrellas were very handy. The laundry on the same floor was an added bonus. Didn’t miss at anytime. Loved the convenience of walking right to the beach and to the Paddlers Village anytime that we wanted to. It is very close to Lahaina so it was easy to drive in a few minutes to enjoy the beautiful town. In the last few hours that we were there the boys were able to go snorkeling at the Black rock. A great place because of location. Would definitely go back again when we visit next time!

I never left a low review but this time I must. This property ok, the tv’s does not work in either bedroom. This was a big disappointment. Condo kitchen is out dated. The ice maker would not work but finally working two days before we left. Did like the showers, that was a plus. NO WASHER OR DRYER. have to go outside by the elevators to use the washer. Half the pots and pans needs replacing. No pizza pan. For a 4 million dollar condo, would hope it wou;d be better.. condo do book due to cheap prices. You pay for what you get. I own many rental properties myself.

Our stay at this condo was fantastic. We had 5 adults and 2 children. It was just like home except our weather is COLD ( We all were from Minnesota and Maryland). The views were fantastic. We really spent more time outside on the beach and site seeing. The price was also right in our budget. Jay was wonderful to work with. We were here for our daughter's wedding and vacationing. We took in many of the tours on Maui and flew to Oahu to see Pearl Harbor. We also survived "The Road to Hana". Our Whale Watching experience was great. The whales were right up by our raft. Got great pictures. We all want to come back again and we will for sure be contacting Jay to rent his condo again.We grilled most of our meals on the grills outside The Whaler and also ate out. Maybe the owners could add the following to kitchen supplies ( crockpot, kitchen shears, and some ziploc left over containers,) otherwise we had everything we needed. We forgot to write in the journal in the condo. Guess we were just too busy. You may add this comment to the journal. Thanks again Jay!

Great Value for the Location

My wife, mother-in-law and myself spent 7 nights here in April 2013. This was my wife and I's third trip to Maui in the last three years and this was by far the best accommodations we have experienced on Maui or anywhere else for that matter. Hard to believe people will pay more for a little studio hotel room at the resort hotels on either side of the Whaler. That said, you can pay double to triple at the Whaler for a better view and location but for us the value was worth not having a courtyard view or more ocean view from our lanai. Others have commented that they liked the privacy of backing up to Whalers Village (large trees and foliage are between the condo and Whalers Village). Being on the third floor, the trucks backing up, unloading and a constant noise, from what sounded like an air conditioner or generator, was iritating but we didn't spend hours on the lanai and we were aware from other reviews that this could be the case. The unit was stocked with the essentials that you would get from a hotel room and a lot more with fully stocked kitchenware and a few things others left behind in the utility closet. We left a few things but wasn't sure if the company that manages the unit throws most of it out or not. I could see where beach toys and gear could pile up real quick. I used the boogie board and had a great time with it. This trip was planned for my mother-in-laws first trip to Hawaii and the proximity to Whalers Village and Kaanapali Beach Hotel for the Kupanaha Magic show, their nightly singing and hula shows and the Tiki Terrance for dinner was perfect. Also the 10 minute drive to Lahaina is nice as well. The trips to Hana and Haleakala can be grueling from West Maui but you just need to give yourself a day or two break between the drives. We have never had a bad meal at Lelani's at Whalers Village (ate here twice as most people who know the area do) but skip Maui Fish and Pasta if you can. Try Coconuts in Kihea for a good casual meal. Also ate at Mamas Fish House on last day and although expensive it was great. If we are in need of a unit with two bedrooms, we would love to stay in this unit again for the value and location. One last positive note is the privacy between the two bedrooms. The master bedroom has its own exterior access to the hallway is set up nicely to where you can't hear much going on in the other rooms. Great location. Great condo. We had everything we needed. Kitchen had everything we needed - we grilled or cooked most of our meals. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were nice. Views from the lanai were amazing. Definitely recommend staying here.

We have stayed at the Whaler many times over the years and this is by far the nicest condo we have stayed in at the Whaler. The unit was super clean and it had all of the amenities that we needed. The property manager checked in with us from time to time to make sure we had plenty of towels, toilet paper, etc. the condo was also nicely equipped with local soap, shampoo, conditioner and other items. We will definitely look to stay in his unit again next year.

Very nice place. Check in was easy, everything in the condo that you need (for cooking etc), and easy access to the beach. Downside was we didn’t know we would be getting charged an additional 35 a day for amenities. We didn’t have a car so didn’t need to park, and they don’t have a restaurant or anything that would be considered an amenity so we weren’t super happy about that. Also was told the afternoon prior that the “pest company” would be spraying the inside of the unit at 9:00 AM and we’d have to be gone for a few hours. We had grandkids with us so asked them not to come.

Perfect location!

We came for our daughter’s graduation trip and had an amazing time! Loved the location and being right next to Whalers Village. The beach was beautiful and loved that the resort provided chairs for us out on the beach at no extra charge. Also grateful for the chairs and cooler the condo itself had for when we drove down to Kihei for the day. Loved the convenience of a resort but the comfort of a spacious condo. Would highly recommend this condo to anyone wanting to stay in this area!

Making Maui Memories

We took our dad to Maui for his 90th birthday and to make new family vacay memories. We wanted a location that was close to the boardwalk and beach. This luxury condo provided that and more. Just steps from the beach and The Whaler even provided chairs! Having Whaler’s Village right next-door was another plus. The interior was decorated very nicely and it gave you a very homey, tropical feel. We definitely recommend this place and give it 5 stars all around. We would love to come back and stay here again!

Checks All The Boxes - A Little Slice of Paradise

We loved staying in this unit. The location is NOT oceanfront, but it definitely has an ocean view. We liked being on the corner. The wrap around lanai is HUGE and very ample for outdoor relaxation, dining, etc. Every bedroom has access to the lanai as does the Dining Room and Great Room. For anyone that may be concerned about overlooking Whaler's Village, noise was NEVER an issue. It was very quiet.The size of the unit was great for the 4 of us. The condo felt very large and accommodating. It was VERY CLEAN and the kitchen was well outfitted. We ate breakfast and lunch in the condo daily and went out for dinner. No issues with the kitchen not having what we needed. The bathrooms were especially updated, clean, a good size and nice. Each couple had their own bathroom. The unit overall met all of our needs. It was not fully updated or overly modern, but it was absolutely adequate in every way. We loved it and have no complaints. We would absolutely book this unit again and again. Check-in at The Whaler was a breeze and any pre check-in questions I had were answered quickly and completely by the owner. The location CANNOT be beat. Whaler's Village was a 3-minute walk away and we were close to so many great restaurants. There is also a Starbucks at The Westin next door.We loved our experience and can't wait to visit again...SOON!

Beautiful, spacious condo with great views. You cannot beat this location. Right on Kaanapali Beach with Whalers Village next door. Easy to get around the island for excursions as well. Phenomenal!

This was a very nice property. Spacious, clean, very well equipped kitchen with more than enough supplies to cook!. They had coolers, lawn chairs, boogie boards and sand toys. If something is needed The Snorkel Store is 5 minutes away for rentals. Whaler is great location to beach, restaurants & shopping. I do not think the beach is as calm as the advertisement. You can also walk north past black rock to a calmer beach. Maybe depends on the season. Biggest negative to the unit is Lanai noise. It is the SE corner of the property and facing Whaler Village parking garage and delivery trucks, so you hear trucks in the morning/day. We still enjoyed the lanai during our stay despite the noise. Some days were still very windy on the lanai, but the lower level location is a benefit to the higher levels of the complex Master king bed looks lumpy and about ready for a replacement, but was fairly comfortable. If couples sleep in the middle of the bed together, there is a hump to overcome! Additional washcloths and handtowels would be nice. The Whaler also offers free shared laundry machines.

Property itself is very nice. We ended up buying our own garbage bags as the one provided for the kitchen were very flimsy and made a mess every time we tried to empty. We do cook pretty much all of our meals. The kitchen is well equipped. However, more storage type containers would have been helpful. Use for leftovers. Period. It was nice having all the beach items, the kids truly enjoyed the boogie boards.
