The unique, charming Potter's Cottage is the private and separate half of a 120 year old, historic limestone house. The master bedroom is 4 steps up from the comfortable living room. Please keep the steps in mind when considering this property for the elderly or those with special needs. There is a downstairs bedroom with twin beds if separate sleeping is needed. Walk through the private entrance into a living room filled with art. Two outdoor seating areas, offer a lovely setting to enjoy the drier, cooler weather of the Texas Hill Country. The front yard and patio are both fenced as this is a pet friendly home away from home. I loved staying at this precious abode. Just as described online. Very quiet in an older neighborhood where I enjoyed my walks. Shops and restaurants are close to downtown. I can’t wait to return next year. Finn was a great hostess.
Our host was so accommodating and was available for any need. The cottage is adorable and the artwork is fabulous…. Definitely would stay again when we visit.
Gail was extremely helpful in making sure we arrived and had a seamless check-in process. The Cottage itself was spacious and lovely for our time in Fredericksburg.
Our stay was beyond fabulous! The cottage is so well-maintained: absolutely spotless, attention to detail, beautiful artwork and extremely accommodating. Finn, the owner/host is a very kind, gracious lady. The setting for this cottage feels rural and rustic, yet HEB is just around the corner, as well as Main St. is within walking distance! You have your pick of outdoor seating with beautiful scenery and no shortage of deer sightings.I highly recommend this property and hope to stay here again soon.
This property was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay in Fredericksburg. Unique and fun furnishings and decor. Nice outdoor seating in a peaceful setting. Very convenient location, as well. Would definitely stay here again.
We loved staying here. There's a really cool downstairs area with two beds that we didn't use. The house is decorated beautifully throughout, and our favorite part was the large outdoor area. Quiet neighborhood. Highly recommend this property!
Eclectic, beautiful place. Very near the downtown shops and restaurants. In a neighborhood with a backyard that feels like rural living. Lots of deer out back in the mornings. A great library and wonderful art. Hope to stay at the Potters House again in the future.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Cottage was the perfect space for us, and we loved having our coffee on the beautiful porch. Communication was top notch and would highly recommend.
We had a wonderful stay in this house with it's wonderful fenced in front yard and backyard. We even enjoyed our dinner on the patio table out back one night.

Why they chose this property
'While growing up in San Antonio, I had often visited the Hill Country as a child. Even then, I knew that some day, some way, I would live there. When my son was 4 years old, that opportunity came and we moved here to this very special small town with its wonderful community.'
What makes this property unique
This antique and art filled property, is a well cared for, family home that has in the past, sheltered many people in a loving way. The sun bleached limestone walls give this house it's rightful sense of place in the Texas Hill Country.
