Awesome Place!

We loved staying here. There's a really cool downstairs area with two beds that we didn't use. The house is decorated beautifully throughout, and our favorite part was the large outdoor area. Quiet neighborhood. Highly recommend this property!

Charming cottage

The Potter's Cottage was the perfect little spot for a holiday weekend getaway! The neighborhood was quiet, but still incredibly close to everything we wanted to visit. While we didn't bring kids or the dog on this trip, the cottage would have worked for the whole family. It is quaint, but the enclosed yard and back patio extend the living space tremendously. We will definitely be back!

What a find

Historical. Felt like a little gem! Loved the brick and historic feel of the basement entry. Very eat out or have leftovers type of kitchen area. The house is split with owners on otherside. Very quiet home overall. Loved the location super close to town. Only saw owners once, very kind. Loved the fully fenced in yard for dogs! Overall would stay again 100%. Enjoyed my alone time here!

Quaint little place, lots of character.

We had a lot of fun staying here. Just remember that there is no kitchen. But it is such a beautiful property and very close to shopping and dining. There is also an HEB about 2 blocks away. We took 2 small dogs and they really enjoyed the large fenced in yard. Fynn, the owner, was very gracious. Thanks for letting us stay!!

Perfect Weekend

We had a great time staying the weekend at the cottage. We knew when we pulled into the driveway, past the privacy fence, that we would love the property, especially after we parked and saw four deer grazing behind the wonderful old stone house. The AC worked perfectly over the warm weekend, and the accommodations were great. We really enjoyed sitting in the private patio area in the evening with little lights along the old cedar fence, and at night it was dark enough to see the stars and hear the wildlife. Overall, the property was quiet and relaxing. We will definitely stay there again.

Lovely accommodations and gracious host

Finn was very responsive to all my emails and understanding when I messed up on the dates I initially reserved. Cottage was immaculate, charming, and wonderfully cool and comfortable even as the 4th of July weekend brought 100 degree weather. Just a few minutes walk from a grocery store (HEB) and downtown along with being very short drives to area wineries and other attractions. It's obvious Finn takes great care of the cottage and the beautifully xeriscaped fence yard. We would definitely stay here again!

Cozy cottage

The cottage is close to the HEB in Fredericksburg. The neighborhood is very quiet. The bathroom was very large which is good. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was provided that I needed. It would be nice to know in the listing of the 2 twin beds beneath the main bedroom. I don’t think I saw a picture or a mention of it. I think that would invite more people to stay. Although I’m sure booking everyday is not an issue. Just would have been nice to know. I loved the enclosed fence for my dog. Thank you so much for my stay. I enjoyed the trip.

Eclectic, beautiful place. Very near the downtown shops and restaurants. In a neighborhood with a backyard that feels like rural living. Lots of deer out back in the mornings. A great library and wonderful art. Hope to stay at the Potters House again in the future.

Why they chose this property

'While growing up in San Antonio, I had often visited the Hill Country as a child. Even then, I knew that some day, some way, I would live there. When my son was 4 years old, that opportunity came and we moved here to this very special small town with its wonderful community.'

What makes this property unique

This antique and art filled property, is a well cared for, family home that has in the past, sheltered many people in a loving way. The sun bleached limestone walls give this house it's rightful sense of place in the Texas Hill Country.
