The cabin was lovely and had all the necessities. It's in a good location to visit local sites such as Luray Caverns, and Skyline Drive. We also enjoyed a visit to the Elkton Brewery.
We enjoyed our stay! Secluded but not too far from restaurants and things to do. We had the best time enjoying the cabin, the fire pit and the river was amazing!
The house is the perfect place for a couples retreat or a girls trip with your best friend. It is nestled up in the mountains and really lets you step away from the city. The property is stunning and we absolutely loved using the fire pit in the chilly night while watching the stars. The interior really gives you cabin while being more updated in the best way. This was a trip I took my best friend on who has never been to the Appalachian mountains, it definitely gave one of the best representations of them while letting us be close enough to other activities like Luray. The hosts were absolutely lovely and extremely helpful with any questions I had, we would definitely stay here again.
The cabin was clean, warm and made us feel like home. Spacious and well equipped with everything that made our stay comfortable. We enjoyed the evening sitting at the porch watching sunset.
This property sits on the mountainside. It is truly a beautiful area to visit. The cabin is in a very quiet area to relax, enjoy the quiet, and rest in the outdoor spaces. The screened-in porch is fantastic!
We had a lovely 2 night stay at this cabin. Very pretty and peaceful. The communication was excellent and we really enjoyed our stay. I think my favorie pawaa the screened in porch.
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin very much. It is quiet and comfortable and very well kept-up. The porch is lovely and we sat out listening to birds in the early morning, while it was still cool (July was brutally hot), and late in the evening. We were grateful for the heads-up about bringing an AWD: we rented a Jeep Cherokee, which did fine up the steep gravel road. The cabin is simple and had everything we needed. The A/C consists of two window units-a little noisy, but kept the indoors very comfortable. Decor is lovely. The hosts were very attentive to our needs.
My husband and I have been living around the DC metro area for close to 20 years now. One of the things that we look forward to during our free time is a retreat from the daily buzz of the city. We love connecting with nature, and the romantic escapade we have carefully prepared in the valley of Shenandoah will be the thing you need to escape from monotony.
Why they chose this property
I absolutely adore my neighborhood for so many different reasons. For starters, it is incredibly safe and quiet, which is always a top priority for me. But what I love most about this area is the fact that it has a little bit of everything. It has a rustic charm that I find very appealing, and it's only a five-minute drive away from the stunning Shenandoah River. What's more, my neighborhood is very private and peaceful, so it's the perfect place to unwind after a long day. And at night, the sky is absolutely breathtaking -
