Beautiful Romantic River front cabin with mountain views,fantastic location!

People describe the cabins, like a tree house above the river.
A large deck overlooking the river leads into a living room, with a flat screen t.v.
The loft area is a great hangout for the kids, I have even had adults say how much they enjoyed camping out in the loft.
Then you have the small.but adequate kitchen.
Bathroom to the right, with a shower and sink.
Then you are in the large Queen bedroom with a fireplace, and romantically decorated.
Outside you have a picnic table,grill and a nice fire pit. camp chairs are provided.
A nice concrete patio is where you will find a 6-person hot tub, with waterfall colored lights and jets.
For fun on the property, there are corn hole boards and 2 kayaks and a canoe.
Over 1 mile of private river trails.

Beautiful Log Cabins built right on the river bank.7.5 private acres ,a 34 acre island for fishing, and private boat launch. This cabin offers mountain views as well as river frontage. Swim, canoe, fish or just relax in the Hot Tub.
They are secluded yet only 3 miles from Luray Caverns, Zoo and Country Club;only 10 miles from George Washington National Forest, New Market, Shenandoah National Park, and Shenandoah River Outfitters. Massanutten and Bryce Ski Resorts are within 35 miles.

Quiet Getaway

Very much enjoyed our stay. Peaceful, quiet location, close to town. Cabin lighting could use some upgrades, and brush clearing to get a better view of the water is recommended. By a lovely little cabin.

Great trip to Gander Island Cabins

The cabin was perfect for our Thanksgiving trip! We enjoyed the hot tub-clean- and the fire pit. The location by the river was very relaxing but close enough to Luray. Luray is a nice little town. We enjoyed a massage at The Wright Touch and delicious Mexican food.

Great Getaway

The location was just what we were looking for and the recommendations from the owners were spot on. We really enjoyed the stay and think the only way it could have been improved would have been if we came during warmer weather!

We loved the Gander Cabin! Check in was easy and everything was set up great. The only issue we had (which was very minor) is we couldn’t figure out how to turn the hot tub up higher than 96. Some recommendations… bring a pillow, they have some, just very flat, and be warned that the shower is very tiny, but works well! Overall we enjoyed our stay a lot.

A nice Gander of the mountains

Our stay was fantastic! Everything felt smooth and clean. It's nice being close to some restaurants and stores as well while still feeling like you're away from the big city.

Serene Riverfront

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The hot tub, firepit, easy access to the river, and the stars at night were all highlights. We'd love to come back with friends and family for a visit. This place is a treasure!

Great Getaway!

My husband and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary here and it was perfect! We got to bring our two pups with us which was amazing as they enjoyed the large yard and river front. We enjoyed the cabin very much and the quaint town of Luray!

Relaxing Stay!

The property was exactly as pictured! Such a nice and cozy cabin. Very close to Shenandoah National Park and the Luray Caverns. We enjoyed the hot tub after long days hiking and exploring the area. Great experience for my first time visiting a national park!

Perfect Location!

This home was perfect for my husband and I to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We loved how quiet and peaceful it was at the cabin allowing us to recharge. We were so close to Luray and Shenandoah National Park that if you wanted to get out and do something you could. We absolutely loved it and can see ourselves coming back in the future!

Awesome little getaway

Our family really enjoyed the cabin. The loft was prefect for kiddos. The land is pretty with easy access to the water to skip rocks. Location is great lots of cute little towns near by and plenty of hikes. Would love to go back again, especially when it’s a smidge warmer and we can spend more time outside. THANK YOU!

A wonderful Anniversary

The stay was as amazing as either of us could have hoped for, the convenience of the location combined with the quality of the amenities have us already planning our next stay here. Less than a 15 minute drive to everything from Luray Caverns to some of the best eateries I've ever been to, and so many fun tourist spots and shops along the way, not to mention immediate river access to a great swimming spot. The hot tub and fire pit were also two highlights of the trip, and made the decision of the cabin versus any of the hotels in town, absolutely worth it.

Goose cabin getaway

This is a great property very clean and cozy definitely nothing more then you need we had a great time especially loved the hot tub…the only issue we had was a chair in need of some wood glue and a bathroom light needing replaced. Thanks again!

Great weekend getawY

We had a great time staying in Gander cabin. Close to hiking in Shenandoah NP. Catherine drove up river to put our kayaks in at Alma and we were able to float back to the cabin. And she gave us a great dinner recommendation- Mr. Garcia’s in Shenandoah. Hot tub was amazing after a day of hiking and playing in the river. Plus - we got engaged - so we’ll definitely be back. Thanks for a great weekend!

Absolutely loved the location, the river was just steps from the cabin. The cabin was nice, just right for two people and a dog, although there is a loft too. I had expected an oven in the kitchen. The shower was okay, but pretty tight for an adult. I would stay there again, and recommend it to my friends, but would plan better as to cooking meals that didn't require an oven.

My wife and I recently stayed here with our two kids, ages 3 & 5. The communication with the property owners was fantastic and they were extremely helpful. We messed up and forgot to secure new linens in advance and they graciously dropped them off after we arrived. The cabin was cozy and we all enjoyed the river, fire pit, and everything Luray had to offer!
