About this property

Step back in time to simplicity...

Pemaquid Peninsula, Midcoast Maine - Great location for kayaking, mountain biking, hiking and fishing. Nature lovers - step back in time to experience simplicity and privacy. Our log cabin sits on a bluff overlooking the East Shore of Muscongus/Webber Pond on a seven acre wooded lot. The main living area boasts an open floor plan (1600 sq ft) with cathedral ceilings, skylights, wood floors and a loft. A wood stove for warmth, gas lamps for lighting and a push button (electric start) generator to pump water, all encourage a slower pace. Kitchen has ample cooking equipment. Hike on woodland trails or 200 yards down a gorgeous path to swim, canoe or read on a raft. Located just one mile from the ocean. Kayakers can launch at nearby Muscongus Harbor or Round Pond. Excellent base for great day trips in Maine. Combines the essence of being in nature with simple amenities. A rustic, secluded camp in the Maine Woods. Experience Maine's ocean, woods and beautiful and sparkling clean lakes.

We invite you to our rugged yet comfortable cabin. You'll have running water, tested for purity by the State of Maine, and a full bath with shower. Comfortable bedding includes; one queen size bed, one full bed and two single beds. Plenty of pillows blankets and linens. A wood fired sauna was added in 2019.

Relax and watch the sunset while listening to the loons on the lake from our screened in porch.

Note: if a family with children, there can be as many as six staying at the camp.

Incredible Cabin in an Idyllic Location
David's property is amazing. The cabin has everything needed to make a stay there easy. We loved the propane lights, and the generator was easy to use. The lake is perfect for swimming and paddling. And there are eagles, hawks, and loons in abundance for watching and listening. There are wonderful places to walk. I even foraged a bunch of black trumpet mushrooms for our meals. We also love the surrounding towns; Damarascotta is busy and a bit fancy while Waldoboro is quiet and quaint. We hope to stay there again in the future.

Wonderful!
The property was beautiful and quiet -- unfussy but with everything you need for a break. There are activities nearby if you are so inclined or just stay and listen to the birds. It was exactly what we needed. Thanks!

Peaceful Oasis
My husband, Nick, and I LOVED staying at David’s cabin. It was so peaceful and cozy. Toddy’s path is amazing and perfect and we loved lounging on the float in the late afternoon with some snacks and wine, just watching (and listening to) the loons and listening to the ospreys and eagles. We got out in the canoe one day and saw three eagles on the big island across the way! The sauna was beautiful and we got to try it out on a rainy morning. Surprisingly to us, the lack of electricity was easier to get used to than we thought it would. Our stay was so restful and perfect. We will definitely stay again!

Wonderful Cabin Experience
We loved the beautiful log cabin in the woods overlooking Webber Pond! Such quiet and privacy, with loon song and wood stove at night and hummingbirds and paddling/swimming the lake to enjoy in the day. Using the generator a few minutes a day to fill the water tanks, and lighting gas lights at night was easy even for us (we were new to this process). The furnishings were simple and comfortable, the kitchen incredibly well stocked with every imaginable cooking utensil, and the supply of linens perfect for a extended family. We loved the amazing collection of books and games, too! We'd definitely recommend this place!
