Private Camp on 200 feet of lake front

200 feet of lakefront on a 5-acre private property. Newly remodeled Bathroom & Kitchen. All new appliances. Beautifully renovated 3-season room. Cute Camp that sleeps 5. Beach front , space for a boat if you have one! Canoe & Kayak are available. Pets are welcome for a fee. Pets must have prior approval. The large front lawn is perfect for playing yard games such as Frisbee, bocce, and corn hole—two outdoor fit pits- one near the water and one near the camp. A detached garage/recreation room is available as a fun space. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the Adirondacks. We now have Wifi available!
We just added an air conditioner for the camp! New back deck (10/24)

We had a great peaceful relaxing weekend at the red door cabin! Love the beach and the fishing. Found some fresh amish donuts on Friday and they were delicious. We love this area of New York State!

Our second visit to this adorable cabin and we hope to return again. The new deck addition made for very relaxing afternoons to enjoy lake scenery, bird watching and reading in this nature setting. The spacious yard was ideal for our little dog to run around. Steve, a gracious host was great with communication and promptly getting back to us regarding any questions. This is an ideal place for a couple who want to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Hinckley Lake/Reservoir area, but there is much to do in the area as well.

Perfect camp to relax

Check in was easy, the owner Steve was responsive. Camp has lots of amenities, and the wifi works great. Perfect spot for a couple or small family to spend a few quiet days. Lake level was low but we were still able to get out to kayak, swim and fish.

Cabin was very clean and homey. It was a bit cold with just the space heater in living room. We enjoyed the view so much! Especially the sunrise! It was secluded, lots of privacy. And we loved seeing the deer in the yard in the evenings.

We had a fantastic stay! Our kids loved swimming and kayaking. The beach was a 2 minute walk from the cabin, private and spacious. The cabin was impeccable but still rustic enough to share with our kids and dog. Steve was an amazing host, and the location was very convenient. We'll be staying again!

Great Lake Front Escape

It was the perfect spot for us. Close to the Lake, good fishing, beautiful views. The owners were very helpful whenever we had questions. Perfect place for us. Hope we can get back soon.

Beautiful & private location

Great little camp house with a path to the lake. Super clean, well stocked. Two fire pits (one by the house, one by the water) Perfect for two or 3 people. They even had a garage to hang out in, in case of rain. Loved my stay & the owner is super nice & responsive.

We had a very enjoyable family vacation. Steve was a very informative and receptive host. Both of my kids had a great time on the beach, fishing, and using the theater space in the garage. The yard was clean and open. Perfect for throwing a frisbie around and a water gun fight. Highly recommend visiting the red door.

Very cute place just enough space for me and my husband. Very clean and owner responds to any questions we had quickly. You can drive or walk down to the water.It is very quiet and peaceful. Loved it even when it rained

Peaceful Retreat

The location was a perfect getaway as it was a peaceful setting next to the lake with easy access to state lands with nearby walking trails. The communication from the owner was excellent from my initial inquiry until the time we left the property. We were extremely thankful for the courtesy shown us by the owners and will certainly return to the property again the next time we visit the area. It was a great experience.

Amazing experience

Had an amazing time! The property is private and plenty of room for your dog to roam. Yet the owner is right next door in case you need them or have any questions. The kids (age 17) were able to pitch a tent on the sand by the water and sleep down there for a night. Thank you for an amazing couple nights. We will be coming back.

We enjoyed our long weekend at the camp. Sadly it was late summer and the water level was very low. The private beach was a mud pit. We were about to use the kayaks, but had to drag them a great distance to launch due to the mud The dogs very much enjoyed running around the big yard, and it was a good spot for stargazing. The nights were cool and the large fire pit was delightful. We brought quite a lot of kitchen items but we were a bit disappointed with the kitchen supplies.

Peaceful

This was our 2nd time staying here and we absolutely love the place. We caught 6 different species of fish, got some wonderful bird photos. We took our boat and had a great time exploring around. We fished after dark with a campfire and there was a live band next door, (not sure what event was going on?) it was AWESOME! We met some local people in our adventures, and they were so kind. We plan on going back next year.

It would have been ok if THEY MENTIONED THE LAKE / WAS A RESERVOIR THAT GETS DRAINED We had a dirt view thats probably a lake in the summer

I live across the way- next property on the Lake. We purchased this property in 2010 and want visitors to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Why they chose this property

This property is 5.2 acres on beautiful Hinckley Lake located on the Southern part of the Adirrondacks. 20 minutes from Utica, NY exit 31 on the NYS Thruway.

What makes this property unique

private beach. Private setting. Adirondack camp that sleeps 4- 5 people. Large property with cute little camp. Outdoor fireplace. Picnic table located right near the water.
