The location was great, nice coffee shop across the street for breakfast. The unit was generally clean, but the corners and window ledges were a bit dirty. There is an issue with the little ladybug like beetles. Also, there was leftover animal hair on the furniture from a prior guest with a pet. Nothing problematic enough to contact the host while there. The mattresses were VERY firm, so they weren’t ideal for my husband and I. The body aches were solved by a soak in the warm springs, which were very close by.
This apartment is in the heart of Hot Springs with easy access to shops and the Homestead. Everything is walkable! Parking on-site or on the street was easy. The rooms were spacious and furnished well. The kitchen has a range, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, and dishwasher. The apartment is ont he back of the building with a view to the mountain and the creek. Very quiet.
Patrick was a wonderful host. He was extremely prompt at replying to our requests. The apartment was within walking distance to the Homestead and was as described. It was the perfect size for 4 people.
Hot Springs is a lovely, little town, and this unit is right in the heart. There is a nice trail for dog walking right there, so it's perfect for pets!
We stayed for a weekend and had a great time. The location is on Main Street right around several restaurants and above a really great local art and jewelry store. The Omnia and hiking trails are very close.
We enjoyed our stay on Main St! The apartment is clean, cute and has all of the basics. The small town vibe and mountain and creek views were perfect for a trip to catch up with a close friend. No issues with check in/ out and the property met or exceeded our expectations.
Very cozy apartment with easy access to local restaurants, grocery store, and vet for an unexpected vet visit.
Would recommend this location to others looking for a getaway outside the normal hotels.
Thank you!
The location really can't be beat. It's right accross from bacova brewery and duck in deli. So we were able to walk most places we wanted to go. The homestead spa/ old golf course was also right up the road. We weren't far from great hiking either. My only complaint is that the mattress was older.
We had a great time staying at apartment. Great location!!! It has everything you need. The building is about 129 years old- it makes your stay even special. Very convenient to all activities around. Weather was excellent!!! Highly recommend!!! It was a second time for us and definitely we will be back. Thank you.
This property is in a great location when the resort is booked. I felt like I was staying at the Homestead just across the street. The beds are a little uncomfortable but not horrible. Also make sure you have your Netflix, Amazon prime, and Hulu password handy. There isn’t cable but there is a Roku.

Affordable and Simple Apartment--perfect for two couples!
The apartment is extremely easy to find and parking is ample. All of the rooms were quite large and provided plenty of space for two couples. The apartment is decorated quite simple and probably could use some sprucing up. My only real complaint is that the bedroom with the bed against the wall has an extremely squeaky bed. It made it hard to fall asleep. The coffee shop across the street was a nice treat. Overall, I would stay here again to save $$ and not stay at the Homestead--but close enough to easily enjoy anything going on there.

Thank you for the review! That squeaky bed will not be squeaky for long. Glad you enjoyed your stay. Pat Haynes
The apartment’s location cannot be beat if you’re looking for access to the Omni Resort. Less than a two minute walk and you’re there.
This was the quirkiest place I’ve stayed in a long time. The furniture seems to be antique store finds (nothing unattractive, just older) and I didn’t really find any sitting surface to be particularly comfortable. The reality, though, was that this wasn’t an issue for us as we were not in the apartment for much else than sleeping. The walls are bowed, the floors aren’t level (not a one!), the shower is tiny, the linens are “well loved,” the kitchen is a little aged….but somehow this added to the charm of the place. It really was like staying at grandma’s!
My only real complaint was the cleanliness. There were several areas that could use a good scrub (shower, microwave vent, ceiling light shades) and this would make a big difference.
Pat was easy to communicate with, helpful, and accommodating. He gave great suggestions for trails in the area and even allows his guests to hike on his family farm, several miles away from the property. I hiked this with my dogs and it was beautiful (and a good workout in the heat).
We would stay again if we needed to be in Hot Springs. It was great to have found this place that allows our dogs to enjoy western Virginia as well.
Great option for events or conferences at the Homestead, 5 minute walk to the hotel.
Fantastic! The owner was great to work with and the location is ideal on Main Street in Hot Springs. The apartment is very comfortable and spacious with nice, rustic decor. Highly recommend!
I stayed here for a conference at the Homestead. I had the convenience of being near the resort without the price tag and was able to have a full kitchen and more room to spread out. The owner was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Only complaint is that room darkening drapes would be very helpful to block the streetlight and I would have felt better with a chain to add protection/security inside the apartment beyond the code lock. The rugs were worn and could have used a more thorough cleaning and the parking through the alley was too tight. But overall I enjoyed my stay.
We had a lovely stay at this apartment. Nice space for 4 adults and some dogs to share. Excellent location right in the middle of town. The brewery across the street had excellent food and we could bring the dogs and sit outside for dinner. We even poached a free fireworks show from the rich folks staying at the Homestead.
The beds were a bit firm for our liking and the kitchen could use a few more accoutrements (don't worry we left a cutting board so hopefully you will have one for your stay, LOL). But Patrick was awesome and the private trails you have access to were an excellent amenity! Make sure you ask for info about those before you get there if you're interested, they aren't marked in a way you can identify without info.
We would definitely rent this space again!
