About this space
Owned by artists ART LOFT has a lot of bells and whistles: modern appliances, luxury stand up shower, spacious bedrooms, massive deck with eating and sitting space, but with the charm of an old loft: exposed beams, vibrant art and unique decor. This is a very quiet. Owners onsite.
ART LOFT is located centrally, near the tunnel, in a charming old neighborhood. It is our home, and while you stay, we move into our creative spaces downstairs. It is a separate space, not shared.
The space
Art loft is the upper floor of a converted old yellow bricked commercial building. Originally a printing shop on the main floor and a hair salon in the 1960’s, this old building has been restored to perfection. The ceilings rafters are exposed creating a loft style open concept feel. This is our home that we are offering to you and we are selective about who we let stay. No profile picture or reviews and we will not accept your booking. It is helpful if you include a message to us so we can get to know you better. We retire to our creative studios below when guests book and will be onsite and available for assistance. We adhere to the policy of no parties, and will take immediate action if this becomes the situation. This rental is for the express use of the guests who are booking with us, and on occasion we will require full names of all guests staying with us. Occasionally we say yes to family and friends stopping by the space, but with prior knowledge and permissions from us.
Having said all of that, our space is exceptional for a romantic get away, a quiet retreat, a place to land after an event in Detroit, a safe stop before a flight out of Detroit, an excellent stay while visiting family, etc. That is our speed and the intention behind the space.
KITCHEN and DINING ROOM

There are real linens, a vintage Mikasa dish set, and many cool serving dishes and other comforts at your disposal. The kitchen is a stunning open concept with a stone counter and gas stove.
