This house was great for a weekend at the lake. The only negative was the dock situation (looks like they are in process of finishing it, but currently had to use ladder to get from top dock down to floating dock where you could get on boat). Also you can not swim in the cove as there are pilings in water that could be dangerous. The house itself was great with plenty of space and great ping pong room and fire pit area. We would stay here again.
The House was very clean and the decor was very pleasing…my mother is in a wheelchair and the house was very open for her to easily move about in the main floor living space.
We loved our stay at Dock Holiday!! Great patio space and shaded under the deck!! Guys enjoyed fishing and grilling out! Katrina was a great host, very attentive for all my questions as a first time VRBO vacationer. Everyone LOVED the great AC in the house and the big open family room to gather!!

Thank you so much for being an awesome guests! We appreciated your staying with us and are glad to hear you had a wonderful time.
Love this house. The location was great. You had a cove all to your self pretty much. Was able to float in the lake and not worry about a lot of traffic. The porches are perfect at this house. There was enough room for 7 adults, 3 kids and the pups. Would come back to stay at this location. Katrina was great and so responsive and helpful.
My family plans to rent this home again. Beautiful views from the dining room and living room. Amazing terrace and balcony area. I can’t say enough about how amazing this home is and how comfortable it makes its guests feel. Kudos to the owners!
This was a trip our family really needed. The house was big and had room for everything we wanted to do. The guys just did not catch the fish they thought they would catch. The decks were great. I host was amazing, she responded quickly when we needed her.
If you are looking for a vacation home that has everything you need, this is where you need to stay! The home is very spacious and well equipped for your convenience. We enjoyed the ping pong table and fire fit after long evenings on the lake. The home is set in on a cove, which makes it calm and secluded for your stay. Yet, it’s so close to everything. 10 minutes away is a store in case you forget anything. The home was clean, had plenty of towels, and cooking utensils and so much more. The host was very responsive to any questions we had and was extremely polite. We couldn’t have been happier and are already planning our next vacation here!
The house is beautiful. With four bedrooms on the main floor, it was convenient for our physically challenged family members. The entertainment system was phenomenal, we loved the downstairs rec area, and the views from the back deck were amazing. We only had two issues during our five day stay. One was that the propane tanks were empty but the owner resolved that right away. The second was a rude neighbor who yelled at us when docking the boat saying we were going too fast. We weren’t creating a wake and were in the lowest possible gear, so we just ignored his yelling. Would highly recommend this home.

Liked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in, communication
Rude host & outrageous fees, but nice house.
House was nice and clean.
BUT…I was forced into spend extra money by buying the protection/insurance, It was either that or put down a HUGE security deposit! Who asks for that kind of money for a deposit? What a scam!
Next, the host. Ugh, their policy is they will send you the code to get into the house an hour before check in, which would be 3:00. We were coming from far away and showed up at 3:35/3:40… no code and nobody was there to greet us. The host said the cleaners were there and we had to wait. Meanwhile the house has cameras and a computerized door lock. She can clearly see who enters/exits the house. When I again asked the host to clarify why we had to wait outside the house (it was a cold day), she plainly said “check in time is 4:00”. What?!? Very rude and curt.
In Smith Mt Lake, there are hundreds of nice houses just like theirs…my recommendation is: don’t go through the hassle this house offered and find another one.
Unfortunately we did not have a good experience during our vacation. The home itself has nice finishes. The check-in process was good and easy to follow. We had a number of issues with the property as listed below:1) The water had a bad metallic/sulfury smell. So bad that I could smell it in my children's hair after their baths and you definitely did not want to drink it.2) The refridgerator water dispenser and ice maker did not work, so we had to purchase water from the store. There is an icemaker down stairs, but it unfortunately just did not make enough ice for our coolers and for cold drinks when at the house.3) The water pressure in the showers on the main floor was not good. Additionally the shower knobs, at least in the main bedroom, were installed backwards and it was a process to get the write temperature. Additionally the glass shower door in the main bathroom does not close all the way because it runs into the floor wall molding.4) The host was generally responsive to messages, but unfortunately did not follow through on things she said she would do. Specifically, when we brough up the water pressure issues and the problems with the main shower, she said she would send out a plumber on two different occasions, and they never showed. Prior to leaving this rating, my wife tried to also reach out to her personally to tell her the issues we had, for which she was not responsive. She did eventually reply saying she had a family loss, but never got back.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I'm genuinely sorry your stay did not meet the experience we strive to provide.
During your visit, my family experienced the unexpected passing of my mother. While I did my best to respond to guests, my attention was understandably divided during that difficult time. I sincerely apologize that I was unable to follow through as quickly as I normally would have.
Since your stay, we have addressed the water pressure concern and repaired the shower door. Thank you for bringing those items to our attention.
Our home is on a private, professionally treated well. During periods of unusually low lake and groundwater levels, well water can naturally have a mineral or sulfur odor that guests unfamiliar with well water may notice.
The listing does not advertise a functioning refrigerator ice maker. We provide a separate ice maker for guests' convenience, though it is intended for normal household use.
We appreciate all guest feedback and have taken steps to address the maintenance concerns. While I'm sorry your stay coincided with both these issues and a very difficult time for my family, I appreciate your comments and wish you and your family all the best.
I've traveled the world, but tend to find being near water and mountains is where I relax the most. It's a pleasure to be able to host others with the properties which get them closer to the areas they want to have a little fun in while relaxing as well.
