Great place to stay!

Property was great! Location and the place were as listed and the pictures of the place were perfect for the place. Great little pier to fish off of as well. Boys had a great time fishing in between baseball games. Property manager was super nice and so easy to work with for tile check in and check out. Thanks

Nice Place!

Villa Calusa worked great for our 18 day stay in Cape Coral. Centrally located for easy groceries and shopping. The layout of the house was wonderful having the main bedroom on one side of the house and the other bedrooms located on opposite end. Direct access to the pool from both sides of house was the best. Three full bathrooms was a plus for sure. Minor issues all taken care of by management but overall a very nice place. Felt safe in the neighborhood and walking the street in the mornings and afternoons was good also. There is no travel crib as shown in photos but there is a pack and play at the house. However, the rental business for baby/kids items was a godsend! They had everything we needed for our little ones.

The house was not as clean as we have had before at other houses. The showers, only one had a door. None of the tv's worked other than the living room. I never heard from the property mgr even after messaged. The swimming pool cleaner came at 10 am... while we were in the pool so we had to get out and stay out for a few hours. Neighbors were great!

The pool was a highlight. We all enjoyed daily swims. Watching the canal with boats coming and going was a plus. Shopping very close Publex and Walmart just a short distance from the house. Numerous restaurants also very close Felt very safe in this neighborhood. Would love to stay here again.

We love staying at this property

We love the property the pool was perfect very good location close to everything ,on the listing said 4 bedrooms but one room have no doors work good for kids and we have two kids so everything fine but bedrooms with privacy is only 3 we noticed a lot but a lot of ants in the property a very small ants so I think that’s my big concern about the property otherwise very quick respond by the property manager so we definitely stay again

Bugs, dirt and bugs. Although the location and property had all the things we were looking for, it was not at all clean. Carpets were not vacuumed, sheets had bubble gum on them, dried candy in one bedroom, pile of hair by the pool, etc.. and bugs. All kinds of bugs everywhere. The rug in the dinning room is absolutely disgusting that we ended up eating outside every night. The property manager did communicate with us and had someone come out, however I'm not sure what they did. Never again.

After 2 very rude conversations with Michelle, due to poor communication, our reservation was finally finalized. We arrived at the property and found reports from previous guests stating all the problems they had, most were still true; bugs, pool heater didnt work, grill didnt work, dishwasher fell apart when we opened it, etc. Serena was wonderful in fixing the issues she could. On night 4 at 10 pm the water line burst in the bathroom, flooded 2/3 of the house, I called over 20 times with the only answer being Serena calling me back. We shut the water off to the house and called the city works people. We spent the entire next day waiting to be moved to a new place while having no water. We never heard from anyone else from the rental company except Serena who wasnt even in charge of the property. She even stopped by on our last night to check on us. If not for her our trip would have been a complete disaster.

Small details

There were just some small details that affected the overall stay such as pool heater not working, refrigerator did not seem to be cool enough unless we blasted the freezer temp and tv and cable were out upon arrival. The tv and cable issue was fixed the next day.

Liked the location needs some TLC

The location of Villa Calusa was great. We loved the pool and the view of the canal from the lanai. The bathrooms need some work, there was mold in the showers. The kitchen pots and pans were a mess. (The realtor did show up with a new set of pots and pans). The gas grill was rusting out from the bottom and we could not put any food on the racks beacause the were also rusting. Some of the bedroom carpets are in need of replacement. When we brought these complaints to realtor they were quick to try to solve some of these problems.

Too Many Problems

Upon arriving, the furnace did not work. A repairman was sent promptly and fixed the problem Then it rained....and the roof leaked! There was water coming through the ceiling fans in two of the bedrooms and through the garage ceiling! The roof was being replaced...started in September yet there was not even tar paper yet on the roof yet- Roofers came two days later and tar papered. In the meantime, the pool pump and heater did not work. A pool man came to fix pump,. said someone else would have to fix heater - pool not available .for first week! In the meantime, the air conditioner failed but the property management said it just needed time to cool (I am not a dumb blond - I do property management for a living) Later, when I opened the door to the garage, it was like a sauna! The repairman was sent back to fix the air conditioner. He had to take out parts of the soffit to let hot air escape from the garage ceiling! And we had to continually check the units inside and outside the garage to make sure the pipes were not frosting (which they did) hence another visit from repairman. So at least for the second week, the air conditioner and pool worked. Then mid week, the fire alarm went off for no reason. It took an hour for someone to come turn it off! I have asked to be compensated but have yet to get a response! I will not rent from Roelens again! Home Away was very gracious but there was no other four bedroom house available at the time. Villa Calusa need a lot TLC to justify the rent!

We absolutely loved our stay

The house was nice, we had an amazing time! The only down side was while on the dock my husband was walking and a piece of the dock must have been dry rotted and the board broke and he fell through the dock and scraped up his leg. I called the company and no one bothered to return my call but, we’re the type to just roll with it and cont on with our stay but just made sure our children didn’t go on the dock... heaven forbid if tht would have been one of the children. Tht aside we really enjoyed our stay and have already discussed returning.

Sonne, Palmen , Wasser - sehr gute Lage

Das Haus liegt in einer schönen Wohngegend. Von hier aus sind Supermärkte, andere Shoppingmöglichkeiten und Ausflugsziele in der näheren Umgebung mit Auto oder Boot schnell zu erreichen. Vom Grundriss ist das Haus sehr schön, nur leider hat es einen Renovierungs- und Reparaturstau. Die Grundreinigung war nicht ausreichend (Kleidungsreste vom Vormieter lagen noch unter dem Bett, Sanitärbereiche wiesen noch Spuren der Vormieter auf). Wir wissen jetzt, dass ein Bett von Murphy ein Schrankbett und das Fischerzimmer nur ein Durchgangsraum und kein wirkliches Schlafzimmer ist. Zur Not kann hier jemand für kurze Zeit schlafen, aber für 14 Tage und länger ist das nicht angebracht. Keine Privatsphäre und keine Möglichkeit Koffer und eigene Sachen komplett zu verstauen. Das fehlende 4. Schlafzimmer war für uns der große Nachteil an diesem Haus. Leider und schade. Die technische Ausstattung war gut. (großes TV-Gerät mit diversen Zuspielmöglichkeiten und Internet) Wir hatten trotz allem eine schöne Zeit, weil wir uns doch die meiste Zeit um den Pool herum aufgehalten haben, wenn wir nicht gerade unterwegs waren.

Great stay, pool, palms, and peaceful!

Our stay was pleasant and relaxing. The house provided everything that we needed throughout the week, including the pool to cool down in at our leisure. Close to shopping, including grocery stores but far enough from the beach to provide a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing vacation.
