So happy you enjoyed our vintage lodge cabin Richard! Originally built in the 30s as a men's fishing camp our owner has tried to hang on to as much rustic history as possible and we are so glad that you appreciated it! Our team is looking forward to hosting you again soon!!
Overall, it was what we were expecting based on photos. We really liked the rustic feeling of the cabin and the beautiful surroundings, with the lake nearby.
We were not given the cabin number at checkin, so this delayed us getting into the property.

Rustic and spacious
We enjoyed our week in Abe's amazing cabin, it is very rustic, the bedrooms are small but all the beds where comfortable and all rooms had portable fans which we put to use. The kitchen is a good size and the separate family room was great. Loved the ping pong table and the deck and hot tub were very nice. A few things need some work but you can expect that with a cabin of this age and being a rental.

Thank you for choosing Big Bear Vacations and for taking the time to leave a review. Your feedback is valuable to us, as we strive to improve with each and every stay. We’re extremely sorry that your experience with us was not up to par. Upkeep and cleanliness are very important to us, so we are disappointed that this was not the case during your stay. We have addressed the issues you mentioned with our housekeeping team, who have done a deep clean on the property. It is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future.
It's cheap and small, but cozy for two. Has everything you need. Locals have a Vons down the street for all your necessities.

very mixed
Outside and view were great. clean. very old and furniture very uncomfortable. refrigerator did not work well. food went bad. tear in screen in bedroom. altogether, cabin itself very unsatisfactory and uncomfortable. Also, during covid it would be good to tell people what things they need to bring that are normally in a cabin. such as coffee,

Sorry to hear that your trip was not up to par Donald. Being a vintage lakeside lodge this is in fact an older but superb location. Also sorry to hear that you missed our rental agreement that listed items that would not be available (firewood, coffee, paper towels) At any rate our team has implemented better practices to provide a better experience and hopes to host you again in one of our many other homes soon!
I enjoyed this cabin, located near the water, within walking distance to the village. The cabin was clean, had everything we needed. The couch pulled out into a small bed. The faculty had a small swing set, volleyball court and ping pong table. I would recommend it.

Very small but cozy Cabin
This place is just right for 2 people & only for a couple of nights. It’s very small & old inside but very cozy. The only thing that can be updated in this cabin is the couch (very old) & the shower. Everything else was perfect!
