Thank you for the 5 stars! We’re so glad the home was perfect for your family. We strive to provide a welcoming space and are grateful for wonderful guests like you.
We were happy to spend 2 nights at Azalea Landing while exploring southern Oregon and Northern California. The host was very communicative and we had plenty of space to relax after long days of hiking. And the hot tub felt amazing on sore legs! Would highly recommend this home for families as there is something for everyone here.
Perfect location! Great family home with tons of room and entertainment for all! Loved the open floor plan and the well stocked kitchen. Kiddos loved the large yard, hot tub, and game room. We will definitely return for another visit.
This was a great place for a group of friends to hang out.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We're so glad you enjoyed the game room, hot tub, and the blackout blinds upstairs – and we agree, the kitchen is a favorite feature of ours too. 😊
We appreciate your note about the bar stools – guest comfort and safety are top priorities, so we’ll take a closer look and consider alternatives. And you're right, while the beach is walkable for some, we always recommend driving for guests who prefer a more relaxed trek.
Thanks again for choosing to stay with us!
Our large group and our small dog came here after a wilderness raft trip on the Wild section of the Rogue River. It was a perfect book end to our trip. The house has ample parking, and a big backyard. The game room provided hours of entertainment for the kids and the adults loved the comfortable furniture and spacious rooms. The short walk to the beach and downtown was super convenient.Best of all, Christy was a pleasure to work with. We had a lot of changes to our reservation, and she always helped us out quickly with patience and grace. We look forward to returning in the future.
Our stay was perfect! This home was spacious enough that we had plenty of space to not be on top of each other. The bunk room was a hit for the teenagers and 20 somethings. Everyone loved the hot tub and game room. We would definitely stay here again!

The house was so open to let any sunshine in. The weather was back and forth but the garage and hot tub was perfect for the 3 teenagers who loved everything to do in the garage area. We loved every second of our stay. Christy was wonderful and on top of anything we needed.

Thank you Conner! I am glad to hear you enjoyed the fun activities at the home. My kids enjoy walking to the park as well. Your crew is welcome anytime. Thank you for being an awesome guest.
This is a great place for friends and family. The room with the bunkbeds is perfect if you have kids. The pictures in the listing present a nice home, but it’s actually better in person. In fact, the pictures don’t do any justice for the number of thoughtful details the property owner includes for your stay. Each cupboard you open and room you walk into will surprise you with simple but very considerate amenities to make your stay comfortable.
The neighborhood is nice and a very short drive to beaches, groceries, and restaurants.
I definitely recommend this vrbo.

Beautiful property, all the amenities and then some, great neighborhood and neighbors and so much more! Our group of 10 stayed here this year for our annual girls trip and this was one of the best vacation houses we have stayed at so far! Very accommodating host! We ran out of toiletries and the host had them delivered out to us in less than an hour! The house was cleanly with a nice big yard and a ton of fun entertainment items on site to keep everyone entertained. You will not be disappointed with this vacation house! There was even a family of deer sleeping in the side yard when we arrived, which was beautiful and amazing. I cant say enough great things about our stay. Will stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Brookings, in no small part due to this wonderful home. We were greeted with an adorable care package and card (the owners are wonderful people and very considerate), a beautiful and comfortable home, and an amazing view. The hot tub was a great feature. The home is located within walking distance to the beach, parks, and shopping on a very quiet and family friendly street. Home was well stocked with all necessities for us, kids, and pups. Communication from owner was fantastic. We greatly look forward to visiting Brookings again and hope to secure this wonderful rental for our future stays. It exceeded all expectations!!
Great cozy home with plenty of space. Only had a couple of issues preventing it from being 5 stars. The home has a serious ant problem, they were everywhere from the floors to the counters and even in the beds under the sheets. The upstairs has four beds connected by stairs with a panel that was broken on one of the steps on arrival that kept on falling off whenever the kids would go up or down that caused a bit of annoyance. Home owner did let us know that they've been dealing with the ant problem for a while now and was sending someone over the following day. She did offer us an additional night free of charge, but unfortunately she messaged my phone which was dead and I did not see her message until we had already left the area. My wife had sent messages to her through the system but did not get a reply.
Overall, we'd stay there again. While the ant problem wasn't great, I wouldn't say it was completely off-putting unless you plan on actually cooking and using the counters for meal prep.

Response from VrboOwner on 30 Mar 2024
Dear Skyler,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. I understand your concerns about the challenges that come with our coastal location.
While I regret any inconvenience caused by ants or other minor details, it's important to note that our home may not be the perfect fit for guests seeking a completely pest-free environment. We prioritize pest control and promptly address any issues that arise. Depending on the season, various challenges may arise, but I am grateful that we have an exceptional crew available to assist guests during their stay.
Regarding your suggestion of compensation for minor inconveniences, I must clarify that we do not provide such offerings routinely. However, I did extend that courtesy to you due to the lack of communication prior to your arrival.
As a new host, I strive to provide a unique and exceptional experience for our guests. However, it's clear that our standards may not align with your expectations. I want to assure you that issues like ants in the sheets or difficulties with cooking are not part of our standard, and we have an extremely detailed cleaning protocol in place to address any such concerns immediately. Your feedback regarding these matters is greatly appreciated, and we will take steps to ensure they are promptly addressed.
Regarding your concerns about your children's play, I apologize for any inconvenience caused. We aim to create a welcoming environment where kids can enjoy themselves, and I appreciate your understanding of normal wear and tear.
Communication with other guests has been invaluable in helping me set proper expectations in advance. For instance, one recent guest experienced a power outage and handled the situation with grace, providing valuable feedback that allowed us to better inform future guests what to do if this happens during their stay.
Given your review and differing expectations, I must be forthright in stating that you should not return to Azalea Landing. It seems our home does not align with your needs, and I suggest exploring alternative accommodations that better match your preferences. We cater to like-minded friends who appreciate the convenience we offer and understand the nuances of our coastal setting.
Thank you again for your feedback, and I wish you the best in finding a more suitable stay that aligns with your standards.
Best regards,
Christy
