Family Trip

We live in Nashville and had some family coming in town to meet our new grandbaby. This house allowed us to all be together and we had a wonderful time. Communication was easy and we would definitely stay here again.

Nashville with the Boys (and wives)

It was a great time. A nice, beautiful, and spacious house with a great forest. Just 30 min from the city, and perfect for a large group. If I come back to Nashville, this is where I would stay.

The house was nice. The listing said 14 people but there was no way the 14 adults would have fit . Maybe 6 adults and 6 to 7 smaller children. Also best if you check in early in the day as the entrance is not easy to find. Also with the additional buildings that the owners are building parking was very limited. We only managed 3 for our entire family. Trails are not marked either we were unable to find the waterfalls shown on the pictures.

Unique Cabin North of Nashville

We enjoyed our stay. The house is a work of art. Pulling into the property driveway had me raising eyebrows, it’s a bit deceiving from the outside (the additional buildings on the property in disrepair, make the outdoor area /yard less than it could be). But the house itself is really pretty inside, very clean and well stocked and there are acres of wood to explore (bring tick repellent). Not your typical Nashville experience but not too far away from town either (20-30 min).

Overall a good review.

We enjoyed our stay and the interior was clean and well kept. It is an interesting decor and layout. The exterior of the rental has a lot to be desired - outbuildings are in need of repair. Outbuildings prevent the place from being considered "kid friendly." Trees & bushes need trimmed. Exterior of home and windows need cleaned. Interior was good, exterior needs work, since we did not spend much time outside it was a pleasant experience for us.

Not what we expected. Beware of Ticks.

The best part of this property is the communication with the owner and property management team. Unfortunately we had a few issues that made our vacation more stressful than desired. -Two dirty comforters (stains and dog hair), dirty baking pans, trash out front, and animal smelling home. The management team was attentive and ordered Amazon replacement pans/pots. They had new quilts in a closet we learned about after purchasing our own blankets. -The pictures don't accurately describe the other buildings on the property. They are being remodeled, but one sits directly in front of the house and the other is on the side...one day some workers were looking at us through the kitchen, which was just not ideal. -Worst thing for us were the ticks. We rented this home to have the acreage/quiet space because we love it. The trail they discuss is a steep hike down to a pretty stream. We did it once and all 3 of my kids and my mom had ticks on them. YES, we had sprayed prior to entering the woods. Over the next two days, one of my kids and my dad both had ticks in the bed. My mom had to be treated for an infected tick bite. The management team did send some nice yard tick spray, which we used over a small space for my parents small dog to potty. SO, if you're going in spring/summer/early fall, be highly aware of the ticks. We went on hikes in other areas and visited family in other towns nearby and had no tick issues.

The house was as advertised and worked for "dog friendly" and convenient for a wedding we were attending. However the property is very under construction. Uneven and construction debris was a challengeThere could have been more "wine glasses" and I asked about a coffee pot and told a regular drip pot and then we arrived there was a keurig/ which would have made life better for the various times everyone had breakfastWhen the other two cabins are finished/ it will be a great spot for family reunions , wedding parties, and absolutely beautiful in the Fall

The family checked in on a Thursday evening, and woke up Friday morning to make breakfast for the family, and found mouse droppings in the kitchen drawers where the utensils were. Not just a few, but a lot. Tried contacting the host that day, no response so we checked out. No response from the host until the following Monday, offering only a partial refund. The host basically said, the house is in a wooded area, so these things happen. Really? If you know you have regular rodent droppings in your properties, doesn't it make sense to check the property out before the guests move in?
