About this property

Wonderful Condo in a terrific location!!!

Our 2 story condo offers each bedroom with its own private full bath as well as a half bath on the first floor. We have a second condo in the same complex that is the same size, floor plan, and cost, just different decor'. If this one is full on the dates that you want, then check out our calendar on VRBO # 332758. There is a first floor laundry as well as a fully equipped eat in kitchen with service for 12.
We have a wireless internet setup for you in the spacious living room that overlooks a very private natural setting. Have your morning coffee on our covered front porch or enjoy our full deck for grilling out on the gas grill and enjoying a visit around the patio table in a treed setting. You can take a short walk through the trees to the state park and 2 miles of beautiful Lake Michigan beach and wonderful Little Traverse Bay sunsets. Bikers and hikers enjoy the state park as well as the Little Traverse Wheel Way that runs right by our complex. For the skiing crowd we are less than 7 miles to both Nubs Knob and Boyne Highlands. There are cross country ski trails right next door in the state park. Will do a monthly rental except in the busy summer months which is a 2 week maximum.

Great location for a weekend

We had a great long weekend. The condo has all of the supplies you need. Lots of extra linens for the bedrooms and towels. Kitchen is well stocked. Easy to get to Harbor Springs, Petoskey and Mackinac island. We would definitely stay again!

Fun Weekend Getaway

The house/condo is in a great place, very close to Petoskey downtown. It was very comfortable and clean. Overall a great place to stay - we had no issues!

Nice condo/great location

We came to Petoskey to bicycle. The location of the condo is right on the Little Traverse Wheelway and an easy ride to the Tunnel of Trees. Condo was clean and well equipped. Easy check in and great communication with owner. Plan on staying again.

The Michigan Experience

This was a great place for a home base of Michigan adventures. The property was just as described, very well stocked with essentials, and we appreciated the extra notes around the condo with directions. I would definitely stay again and strongly recommend it!

My son got engaged so the family came up to celebrate with him and his fiancé who were camping at Petoskey State Park. This condo was perfect! Had everything we needed and then some! Great location walking distance to state park. Owners were easy to work with and even gave us later checkout.

Perfect Vacation

We have stayed at many different condos in the area and this one definitely rated at the top. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed! It is also very conveniently located to many activities. We also appreciated the easy communication between the owners while planning. We loved this condo. It is tucked in the woods of Petoskey State Park right off the main road between Petoskey and Harbor Springs. It is centrally located so that nothing (downtown Petoskey, downtown Harbor Springs, skiing, golfing, beach) is more than 15 minutes away! It is very clean and cozy. And it is well stocked! These owners are not stingy with supplies! Plenty of towels, trash bags, blankets, pillows, toilet paper, and cleaning supplies! You can walk into Petoskey State Park via a path right behind the condo. We highly recommend! Owners were a pleasure to work with.

Location, location, location

This is our third time staying at Bob and Hazel‘s rental. Two times at their other condo in the same complex. First time in this condo. Condo is clean and comfortable and has everything you need. Best of all for me is the location being right next to the State Park, you can walk down to the beach or into the park from the condo, no car needed. Across the condo complex is a great market for your grocery needs (huge selection on beer and wine), a bakery, and down the road a brewery with more walking trails next to it. The condo is located right between Petoskey and Harbor Springs. Just great location overall. Will be back again for sure.

Nice enough for a quick weekend trip

The condo is clean. The description is slightly misleading as it says there are three bedrooms. There are two bedrooms and additional sleeping space in living room. It worked out fine but we were counting on that 3rd bedroom. The condo could use a facelift...kitchen cabinets have some peeling paint and appliances are clearly not new but they did work (didn't use stove). Master bedroom pillows are super firm bordering on hard so consider taking your own. Clean place but nothing fancy.

The perfect location to access the Little Traverse Wheel Way

This Condo suited our needs perfectly. Six of us were in town, for a biking & sightseeing weekend, with our cycling group from Southwest Michigan. This accommodation exceeded our expectations! The condo's location, right next to the Petoskey State Park, was an added bonus. It was a five minute pedal over to the beach! We had fun searching for and finding Petoskey Stones and other fossils. From this spot you have a great view of the bay and can see Petoskey to the left and Harbor Springs to the right. A great place to view the sunset! At the condo we had everything we could possibly need. The beds and bedding were very comfortable and everything was clean and spotless. There was not one complaint to be had. Our only regret was that we had not planned to stay longer, than our three nights we reserved. It was wonderful having the bicycle trail right out the front door, yet be in such a secluded and peaceful location. We enjoyed pedaling the LTWW to Petoskey, Charlevoix and Harbor Springs. The great communication with the owner was very appreciated. The check in process went very smoothly. Our next visit to Petoskey will definitely include a stay here. And since we learned that the owners have another condo unit, also in this complex, others of our group plan to stay in this location, as well. Thank you, Bob & Hazel, for sharing your North Woods "home away from home" with us! We will be back!!!

We are empty nesters who love to travel, hike, golf and enjoy our 9 grandchildren. We are retired from an education/coaching career and a 39 year real estate career. We have been coming to this area of Michigan for many years. We currently live in the Kansas City area but spend as much time as possible among our condo's in Michigan, Branson, MO and Ruidoso, NM all of which we rent out when ever we are our family is not using them. We purchased this second condo in this complex, with the idea in mind that we will spend more time up there upon retirement. We have been renting our vacation condo's since 2006 when the one in Branson, Mo. as our first.

Why they chose this property

We had a favorite Aunt who had lived in Petoskey since the 1950's and have enjoyed the area since childhood. We still have some family in the area. In looking for a place to buy, as a real estate agent, I know to look for location, location, location. This complex fit our needs and desires perfectly. We loved it's treed location next to the state park & beach and being a short but equal distance from downtown Petoskey and downtown Harbor Springs. We never tire of the area's activities and attractions. We enjoy the scenic drives, inland lakes, beaches, Petoskey stone hunting, Mackinaw City & Island, and the natural beauty of the upper peninsula.

What makes this property unique

We really like a small condo complex that tends to be more quiet and peaceful and loved that these units have private baths off each bedroom. We really enjoy the porch as well as the deck.
