True Ski On / Ski Off located on the Sundowner Trail of Pico Mtn. Ski out the back door or snowshoe out the front to the nearby AppalachianTrail. Large great room with a roaring fireplace is perfect to regale your guests about your adventures. The master bedroom has a king size bed. The second bedroom has a queen sleigh bed facing the slope (enjoy the ride!). The third bedroom has 2 twin beds and 2 pull-down bunks if needed. A pullout sofa bed is located in the den with a 55”TV.

The kitchen has a gas cooktop, double oven, main refrigerator and 2 beverage fridges. The adjacent dining room table seats 8. And a large gaming table in the living room can handle any overflow of diners.

A dartboard, cornhole set, games, puzzles and books are provided for your entertainment. There’s even a wall of ‘The Ministry of Silly Hats’ for your enjoyment. Or just sit with a cocktail by the fireplace and watch the snow fall.

It’s a perfect setting for two families with kids or a group of friends. We can’t control the weather but everything is there to experience a memorable stay. You are responsible for your own happiness!!! ;-)

We had such a blast at this funky ski house! Perfect for families prioritizing proximity to the slopes and quality family time. The host could not have been more helpful and kind, making sure our stay went well and we had everything we needed. We loved the ease of being able to ski back and forth from the house throughout the day, stopping in for lunch or letting tired children rest when they needed to. We also loved that we were able to bring our dog along. We used the fireplace multiple times a day. Highly recommend!

Our family of 6 (kids aged 8-15) had an awesome stay at Dewey's place over February break. Having never stayed in a true ski in/ski out, it was truly a skier's dream. We skied right off the back deck every day to the Sundowner trail but Dewey shared a number of other ways to get to the house from the slopes while we were there. It was so nice to avoid the hassle of the lodge and just ski back when we needed a break or just wanted to warm up and take off our boots for a bit. We are forever spoiled! Dewey was extremely communicative once we arrived, making sure we had everything we needed and answering the few questions that came up. We really felt right at home the entire stay and throughly enjoyed ourselves. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out and we appreciated the plentiful firewood and generous invitation to enjoy the fireplace. The kitchen and bathrooms were fully equipped with supplies (toiletries in the baths and a full complement of spices, pans, etc. in the kitchen). Pictures are very accurate. The house feels like being transported back to the 1970s but we found that added to the charm and experience. It was evident from the wall of photos in the living room that the owner and his family have made many wonderful memories here over the years. We are just grateful they opened their home up so families like ours could enjoy all it has to offer. We really look forward to booking this stay again!!!

Great Ski outing

This is superb house for skiers. You can ski out the backdoor onto the slopes. With snowshoes, which are in the house, you can attack the forests. It’s not a luxurious home; it’s quirky and charming. It’s comfortable and inviting. Great fireplace. And Dewey, the proprietor, is most helpful. Strongly recommend.

Midweek winter getaway

Great property for having a good time. Love the fact that there was no television in the great room. Enjoyed good conversation and music instead. Ski in/out was tricky as local lift was not working midweek, but with a quick hike we were able to make it work. Host was very responsive with many items in the house to be utilized by the guests. Much appreciated will be returning as an annual event. Thanks again.

Delightful and joyous, actually ON the ski trail

Bermont Hillside was the perfect place for our family winter get away. The skiing could not be easier with changing into our gear and stepping onto the deck with a slide right onto the ski trail. Back for lunch to a well-outfitted kitchen serving all our dining needs. The space has lots of places for folks to hang out and the layout of the house made finding a quiet space easy.Communicating with the owner was great and they were prompt and amazingly focused on our having a pleasant experience. Their generosity of spirit and hospitality sharing their private home stands out.

Mountain side retreat

Dewey’s house was perfect for us! He was super responsive and checked in with us making sure we had everything we needed for our long weekend! He treated us like family staying in his house and we didn’t even meet him! Super nice would stay again! Would recommend to anyone staying at pico! Ski on ski off house was perfect for our growing family. My husband loves to ski but we have two babies (19 months and 3 months) so it was perfect for him to ski and the come back for a lunch break and say hi to us before he headed back out again! The house was cozy and comfortable! It had everything we needed! It was much bigger than the pictures even made it look! We had a slumber party with our cousins one night which was super fun! Thanks for sharing your home with us- we made lots of memories!

Well Appointed, Comfortable, Ski-In Ski-Out House!

Our experience was wonderful from start to finish!Dewey, the owner, truly wanted to make sure that our stay was enjoyable. He made sure that pantry and bathroom basics were there for us if needed (even toothbrushes!). He also texted us house info, directions, recommendations and advice in advance and stayed in contact throughout our stay to assist when needed and answer any questions.This house is truly ski in ski out. One of the ski runs is right next to the property. The lift card can be renewed online... No need to drive to the base.The living room is perfect for a group... It has lots of seating and the fireplace makes the house very cozy. The kitchen is well-appointed with all of the cooking utensils you need.While this house is listed as a 3-bedroom it, in fact, works very well as a 4-bedroom because there is a pull-out couch in a fourth room which is referred to in the listing as a den. It is a nice-sized room with a large window.Dewey keeps plenty of board games for all ages at the house which were wonderful to have during the blizzard we experienced. There were even toys and puzzles there for my 5-year old to use!Two things we especially appreciated:(1) We experienced some crazy weather during our stay and Dewey managed to get the driveway plower out to us very quickly! (2) My friend lost a diamond earring during our stay and was gutted about it. Dewey found it after we left and shipped it back to my friend right away!We will definitely rent again!
