Listen to the nightly call of the loons and enjoy morning visits from bald eagles and herons at this relaxing waterfront cabin. While just a short drive from Bangor and downtown Ellsworth, you'll feel like you're worlds away from everything at this woodsy, lakeside retreat. In the summer months, relax on the deck or take a load off in the hammock. A gas grill and a wood-burning firepit are also provided for family cookouts and s'mores under the stars. You can launch canoes and kayaks from the backyard to explore Graham Lake.

The inviting interior exudes rustic charm down to the hand-carved wooden bed and comes well-appointed for cozy home comfort. Large glass sliding doors let in plenty of natural light and offer easy access to the deck or the water. The full kitchen has everything you need to whip up tasty, home-cooked meals that can be enjoyed at the adjacent table.

Maine Vacation

We enjoyed the quiet calm and listening to the Loons. It is not elegant or filled with lots of water toys.... if you are just looking for a place to be quiet and relax, listen to the wildlife, read a book and play games this is your spot. Remote and relaxing!

Great cabin, lovely stay!

We had an amazing time here! The cabin is cute and very well appointed. Quiet, peaceful area. Good kitchen for cooking, grill, fire pit. The bed was comfortable. Very nice. Guests should be aware that swimming is a bit difficult in this location, and you maybe have to drive to one of the many nice local places to go swimming. Be sure to bring your own canoes and kayaks too! We enjoyed our stay and appreciate the hospitality.

Heron's nest is a great little place. We loved being right on the lake. I enjoyed my morning coffee on the deck by the water, book in hand. The bed was comfy and we loved the open kitchen, dining and living room area overlooking the lake through the large sliding glass doors. The 24/7 Vacasa service was super helpful. There was no water provided in the fridge as stated so be sure to bring your own. The nearby town of Ellsworth has some great shops, places to eat and two breweries with food. Fun time!!!
