July 2020 Stay

We loved the Surf Shack and can't wait to go back again! The house and amenities were amazing, very well appointed, and comfortable. It is refreshing to find a place that isn't seashell pink and turquoise, decorated with shells and old junkie furniture. We really enjoyed grilling in the outdoor area and being in the pool. I miss sitting on that sundeck! The beach, beautiful, and downtown area are really close. Our family enjoyed the market, the food trucks, shopping, restaurants... We felt safe letting our kids wonder around town. Then at the end of the day, we went back to the groovy surf shack/spa to relax. We will definitely go back!

Great place, a few problems!

Great property! BUT there were a few problems with our stay. We were told we can enter the property early, which ended up being allowed but not at the time we were previously told. Along with this, the property is advertised to have an indoor/outdoor living space but you are unable to use them, and the alarm will sound. There was no note of this before entering the property. ALSO, it is advertised to have an outdoor fire area, but guest are not able to use that. Along with this, the pool lights shut off at 10:00pm every night, and there are no ways to turn this on.

Exceeded Our Expectations

Everyone in our group loved this house. The little kids loved the pool and adults loved the kitchen and living area that overlooked the pool. Everything was in good condition and super clean. The location is perfect if you are also renting a golf cart to get you to the beach. You are within a 10 minute cart ride of beach access, Publix, and some good local restaurants. I can definitely recommend this house...you will not be disappointed!

Loved this property. The pool was a godsend, as the Gulf was still rough for a few days after Hurricane Ida. Easy walk or bike ride to the beach, on an overall quiet street. Lots of space for all six of us to gather and watch footballs games/movies. Would definitely stay here again!

Pool and back yard are very inviting...perfect for after beach and evenings. Fire wall is an added bonus. Location to the beach is not so great,however. We rented a golf cart as transporting you, old and beach toys would have been very difficult if not impossible. A better pre-check of TV’s and lights/fans would have avoided repair calls that ended up having to wait until Monday afternoon. On balance a great house and fun trip for all.

One of the best houses we have rented in the area!

We loved staying at the Surf Shack! The proximity to the beach was amazing for teens to go back-and-forth. We rode into Seaside every day for lunch. The house is great and roomy and so cute. The heated pool was perfect for the cooler days and we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back. Thank you!
