About this property

Close to Skiing/Snowboarding, Private Hot Tub, Dogs Welcome-Moondance Cottage

*Tahoe is a beautiful and fun place to visit, but occasionally this area can be affected by extreme weather events. While we never want things like icy roads, road closures, or smoke from wildfires to negatively impact our guests, it can happen. We ask travelers to plan their vacation appropriately for the rural mountain climate and encourage guests to research all travel insurance options, as Tahoe Moon Properties cannot provide refunds for things outside of our control.

Available for ski lease for $2,450/Month + Utilities.
To express interest in a ski lease or apply for one of the below, please e-mail info@tahoetruckeevacations.com.

This technical one bedroom is sneakily roomy, and secondary detached room (available to long term renters only). It is situated just 3 blocks from the lake and boasts partial lake views! PLUS, dogs are considered and the home has a private hot tub too.... What more could you want!

Starting with the open living area attached to the kitchen, this creates a comfortable common area great for socializing. The living room has a wonderfully designed river rock fireplace to enjoy a warming fire, a TV/ DVD, and very comfortable furniture for your relaxation. The adjacent kitchen is lively and bright, making for an inviting place to create your meals. The kitchen area offers a built in breakfast nook in addition to a dining table that will seat 6, as well as a breakfast bar.

There is one bedroom inside the main house with a King bed and a Single bed. There is also an additional bedroom (available for ski lease tenants or longer rentals than 1 month only) located in the private, detached unit directly behind the main house.

Easily accessible by the wooden walkways, this is a fun extension to this property. All the beds are new. This home has brand new hardwood floors, “peek” views of the lake, lake only 3 blocks away, and huge deck with gates!

-One full bath, with tub/shower, is shared in this household.
-This is a dog-friendly house but in order to bring a dog, you must pay a $100 dog fee per dog, 1 dog maximum. If you bring a dog without paying the dog fee, you will be subject to a fine and are in breach of contract which could result in being asked to leave the property.
-Please be considerate, this is a smoke free home.
-Important, this property does not have air conditioning. Air conditioners are extremely unusual in North Lake Tahoe.

Great spot but dirty
The location and old Tahoe charm were great! The cleanliness was not good at all, bathroom surfaces and kitchen surfaces were not wiped, and I had to clean everything completely before any use. You could also tell everything was really dusty, not sure when the last time living room surfaces, and bedroom was dusted or wiped down. Luckily the sheets were clean and beds comfortable. The furniture, deck space, and hot tub were all functioning and comfortable, with a nice view of the lake.

Labor Day, Ho;iday, Birthday get away
Nice place for the two of us to hole up for a couple days with the unexpected early cool and rainy weather at the Lake. Guests have mentioned in the GuestBook before that the fireplace should be ready with wood and starter for our first night. All the loose, small rugs scattered everywhere are a majot trip hazard. Little rugs need a non-slip backing to keep them in place. All the sticky windows and doors require maintenance to ease them up. All that said - we enjoyed the stay.

Spectacular stay in Carnelian Bay
Such a perfect little weekend getaway spot for us. Cozy cabin feel with amazing views of the lake. A really relaxing stay for us. Loved the hot tub and the quiet calming vibe of the place. Will definitely stay her again in the future.

Cottage with a view
This cottage met most of our expectations, plus had a great view of the lake. I would've liked a fenced yard for our dog but our dog didn't seem to mind it. ;o). The cottage is conveniently located to stores and outdoor attractions.

Wonderful Stay
My wife and I came up here for a romantic getaway, and Moondance did not disappoint. It is great for a couple, and the extra bedroom would have been great if we wanted company on our trip. Highly recommended, this was a wonderful stay!
