Loved the location and this spacious little house. Few things that should be mentioned. 2nd bathroom is actually a toilet and small shower inside laundry room. Utility sink over by washer. Also, the twin bedroom is obviously an add on and there are no air vents for air conditioning. There is a ceiling fan but heat during day turned that room into an oven. We bought a standup fan to help. Suggest to Frank to invest in small window unit for that room. Overall, The air unit had a difficult time keeping house cool during day. Night was much better, of course. Surprising because ceilings are low and house is small. We were real careful about keeping blinds and doors closed. Toilet in main bath was broken day we arrived. Tank would not fill with water but we could fill tank each time it was used. I did tell Frank not to worry about trying to get it fixed on holiday weekend. We could continue to fill tank and he could look at it after we left.
Besides those minor issues, we loved the place. Enough room for everyone to enjoy and very clean. Location is fantastic! Kayaks an added bonus! Neighbors are friendly. If issues can be remedied, we’ll rent Franks place again.
We stay here once a year for scalloping and its perfect

Our trip to Homasassa was a blast. Gavin’s place had a great location. Having kayaks and a dock was a big plus. Location was perfect. His place was clean but could have used some starter supplies and the twin beds could use an upgrade. All in all I could say we would definitely choose his place again.
The place was great! Right on a shady canal full of fish, this place comes with free kayaks and is a five minute paddle from an awesome spring inlet. Clear water and great swimming! The only complaint we had was that the dryer doesn’t work, and we had washed our clothes before we realized it. But air drying them here actually made them smell great! Just a minor complaint compared to all the positives of this place.

Great for kayaking
The location was perfect for access to the springs. Just a short kayak. Overall the property was clean but needs some repairs. The lights, fans, dryer and overall electrical did not work as expected. The dock ladder was not attached so no way to get in and out
A group of us stayed to enjoy as our home base for 4th of July weekend. It was comfortable and clean and worked well for us; nothing too much, but all the things and the space to have a nice base. Open living room space was great to hang out, the sun room area was nice, and liked being able to dock our boat out back.
We have stayed many times at this house over the years. The house is fabulous with all the amenities we need. You are in a quiet neighborhood right on a canal and are minutes away from the state park and grocery stores. The owners have provided a canoe and several kayaks for your use. The springs and manatee area are an easy paddle away. My son loves fishing which he can do at the house or by kayak less than 5 minutes away. The owners have always been very responsive and helpful when we communicate and we have never had any issues while staying here. Thank you for allowing us to return again.
We booked this rental on very quick notice and Mr Gunter was able to accommodate us. The home is located within a close proximity to the springs and it made it very convenient for boating and jet skiing to these areas. There’s a nice covered slip for the boat and a floating dock that made an excellent spot to tie off the skis. The house was spacious and kitchen was well equipped. Beds were fairly comfortable. Shower/tub combo had great water pressure and plenty of counter space for all my wife’s cosmetics. Back yard was fenced and neighbors were great and very informative of the general area and activities. Town was only a 5 minute drive. Living room lacked enough furniture for our group of six. There is an awkward sitting area when entering the house. We moved the two wingback chairs from this area to the living room and grabbed another from the dining table … the combination allowed us to sit as a family. As stated in a previous review… nothing flashy but comfortable enough to make our stay very enjoyable. Thanks to Frank for making a few concessions for us on such short notice.
Property is in a quiet neighborhood on a canal that leads directly to the springs. We love the ability to enjoy the natural surroundings but still be 5 minutes from store and restaurants. This house is always our first choice. The kayaks are a huge bonus and communication with the owner is very prompt. We will definitely be back!
We had a family stay because we wanted to see the manatees. We did a snorkel trip in Crystal River and booked with Nature's Discovery. If you want to have a great manatee experience book with them. Jake and Evan were wonderful. There are six kayaks at the house for your use. Another day we took kayaks down the canal into an area where we were able to observe so many manatees. They are amazing. We were close to grocery stores and it was very convenient.
We had an Amazing stay here again. As always the house the house is perfect. Master bed is sooo comfortable. Ideal location and has kayaks and a canoe. We will be back!!
Our family loved being directly on the water so close to the clear springs and lots of wildlife. The covered boat slip was amazing and the provided kayaks were great. House had plenty of space. Kitchen was nicely stocked.
The house is perfect for people who have boats who are scalloping and going to the springs. The property manager is quick with responses. Our stay was perfect. We’ll definitely be back!
