We loved the cabin. It is charming and cozy. The cabin was very clean and well-stocked with blankets, kitchen items, and pantry items. We really enjoyed the fireplace and the firepit outside. Jody, the manager, is super responsive and easy to work with. We will definitely come back!
Pros: Beautiful cabin at the end of a mountain road (gravel); 1 mile off the highway. Cabin was very clean and accommodated my wife, son, daughter n law & me very well. A beautiful porch on both sides of the cabin, one facing east for viewing the sunrise, the other facing west for the sunset. We played cornhole (bring your own bags) and walked around the property to find benches and a fire pit on the road past the cabin. Good place to hang out on a cool evening. During our stay, we went white water rafting on the Chattooga River (think Deliverance) which is only a few miles east of Clayton. We also did some hiking to a waterfall and drove up to Sky Valley and the Highlands, NC area to view more waterfalls. Great communication with our host, Jody. She responded back to my texts, promptly.
Cons: I did have to rent a 4 wheel drive vehicle in Franklin, NC (30 miles away) to get up the last .3 miles of the road to the cabin because my dodge caravan and my son's Toyota Camry could not make it up the steep gravel road. We did not have internet connection while there and the phones had spotty service. Sometimes they worked, sometimes they didn't.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and I would recommend this property as long as you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle and don't need your laptop for work related business. John from S. Florida

My husband and I purchased the cabin for a family getaway to the mountains. We absolutely love it there and the location is perfect for hiking, site seeing, waterfalls, downtown Clayton or a day trip in any direction is perfect. We love sharing the cabin with our guest and hearing their experiences and feedback. We have never had a bad experience as a traveler or host. We're extremely thankful for that and the great opportunity to meet new people and share our home we love so much.
Why they chose this property
We love how secluded the cabin is with a wild off-road ride up. It's a true cabin experience with beautiful seasonal mountain views and sounds of the creek while enjoying the sunrise or sunset porch.
What makes this property unique
Secluded, mountain seasonal view, creekside and a true cabin look. Location, Location, Location! It's our happy hideaway.
