Coziest Cabin!

We LOVED our stay at the Jewel Box! Everything from the spectacular views out of every window, to the well-stocked kitchen, and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in…I can’t say enough great things about this rental. This house had everything we needed and more. Chanie is a wonderful host and very responsive. We would definitely stay here again!

Christmas week

The Jewel Box is more than just a ‘cozy cabin’. It is a magical gem tucked away with spectacular views and everything you could possibly want or need for winter vacation. Chanie, was very responsive when needed and made us feel right at home over the Christmas holiday with her furnishings and decor. We would love to return in the fall in full aspen color!

The Jewel Box makes a great homebase from which to explore central Colorado. The Blue River at the bottom of the road had easy access to Brown and Rainbow trout. Short hikes up mountain creeks to lakes and waterfalls (eg Lower Cataract by Heeney) are short drives in either direction. Rocky Mt National Park via the Grand Lake entrance is only 1.5 hours away and far less crowded than the Estes Park side. After a day of adventures, the well equipped kitchen made meal prep easy. Just get basics at City Market in Silverthorne as all the condiments and utensils are already in the kitchen. Then finish off the day in the hot tub with a view of the Gore Range mountains. Highly recommend for those with a spirit of adventure and enjoying solitude.
