Our home is on a very quiet private road with pristine views of Kego Lake. It's newer construction and has a fun vibe. Kego lake is a popular fishing lake so you can fish off of the dock, or use the canoe or kayaks. If you are looking for a particular date and we don't have our home listed, please contact us as we may be able to accommodate!

This was an absolutely beautiful home with wonderful hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay fishing, relaxing, and lounging by the lake. Everything was extremely clean, bright, and welcoming. We would recommend staying here to anyone who would ask!

Property is amazing. The best well stocked vrbo we have been to. Such thoughtful gestures welcoming us with a bottle of wine and candy. Such wonderful spaces with the screened in porch and the comfortable living room. Great times on the deck and dock. Enjoyed the use of the kayaks, A all around. Would definitely come back.

We will definitely be back. The home is beautiful, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could ever need, and the lake is just beautiful. Our 6 yr old Grandson had plenty of yard to kick his soccer ball and throw his football. We highly recommend this beautiful retreat.

Eric communicated great prior to our arrival and we were well prepared from day one. It is a beautiful home with water views that can’t be beat and the lake is so so peaceful and quiet. We cooked all our meals and never once didn’t have a dish or utensil that we needed. The home was well stocked with soap, shampoo, dish soap etc. We didn’t need it but they even had a bag of “new toothbrushes” in the bathroom which we all agreed was very thoughtful. Our trip was a family get together which included ages of 50-82 and the house was perfect with its large great room overlooking the lake there was plenty of room to enjoy our time together. We loved the available canoe and kayak and even my 82 year old dad took the canoe out twice. The home was exactly as represented on the listing and well exceeded my expectations, thank you for sharing your home with us!

Fantastic Stay

The cabin is beautiful comfortable and very clean. The environment is very peaceful and a great place to relax and recharge. The fishing on the lake was great for our boys and it was so nice to be able to have the kayaks and canoe to explore the lake. We would love to return! Thanks for a wonderful visit.

This is the perfect place to stay if you’re looking for time on a quiet lake for fishing, playing around, close proximity to hiking and a super cute town, and just a place to enjoy a nice evening with people you love. The house is situated perfectly on the shoreline with a wonderful view of a small island. It is a great place to go fishing with lots of other spots equally as good nearby. Our family of six fit the house perfectly. We had kids double up in the rooms without issue thanks to the queen sized beds. There is plenty of space to make a great meal and enjoy it together. Our family enjoyed relaxing after swimming and paddle boarding with movies in the super comfortable living room.My personal favorite spot was the screened in porch. It’s a beautiful spot to watch the hummingbirds, listen to early birdsongs and loons, and enjoy a cup of coffee, glass of wine, or beer at any time of day.Highly recommend this house and the owners! They are clearly gifted at creating wonderful spaces for people to enjoy together, and we will look back on this trip with so much fondness. Many memories made!

A Perfect Lake Getaway If you're looking for a true lakefront escape, this place delivers. From the moment we arrived, the view was absolutely stunning — waking up every morning to the water right outside the window never got old.The dock was a highlight. We spent hours out there watching the sunset, fishing, and just soaking it all in. But honestly, the kayaks stole the show for our boys. They were out on the water every single day, and the yard gave them plenty of room to run around between adventures. It's the kind of property that keeps kids (and adults) entertained without anyone even having to pick up a phone.The house itself had everything we needed — nothing was missing, nothing felt like an afterthought. It was well-stocked, comfortable, and the kind of place where you can truly unplug and relax.We came hoping for a great family trip and left with memories we'll talk about for years. Highly recommend to any family looking for a lakefront property that actually lives up to the photos.

Beautiful home, well equipped with spectacular view. We caught supper (bass an crappie) off the dock. Weather for august was amazing-high forties to high sixties. Enjoyed a variety of local restaurants and bars, especially Maucieri’s. Owner was super responsive. Highly recommend this rental .

Best vacation ever!

The house has everything. Comfortable beds, a bit high but we managed. Waking up to a keurig and lake side seats. Kayaking for the first time, that was so awesome!We had a blast and it was very relaxing. The owners are very communicative and just really wonderful to work with!Thank you so much for sharing your piece of a dream life!!! I think I have to come back!

Lake Life

Beautiful home on Kego Lake peaceful and lots of fun things to do kayaks,canoe, and yard games,nice fire pit for campfires. Very nice hosts who have everything you need,and answer questions almost immediately.This home is very beautifully decorated and colorful the screen porch is the best! We lived it all~

We absolutely loved our stay at this home! The house was spotless, and so very comfortable! The hosts were super helpful and check in was simple. Anything you could think of was provided, from the kitchen pantry full of spices and every pot and pan to the bathroom with shampoo, conditioner and soap. All we needed was a few groceries and our toothbrushes! There were lake towels for all of us, in addition to life jackets, which we appreciated. We spent our days kayaking and canoeing, swimming in the lake, and watching the wildlife, including the resident bald eagle. We built a bonfire every night and listened to the loons. We ate dinner several times in Crosslake, which was a 10-15 minute drive, and got ice cream at the local shop there almost every day! We rented a pontoon boat in Crosslake one day, it was super easy and a lot of fun. There was plenty of room in the family room for all of us to watch a movie at night and lots of blankets to share. The beds at night were very comfortable, and we all slept great! We have stayed in a lot of vacation homes over the years, and this was the most comfortable and homey of all of them. It was a perfect family vacation and we are already talking about when we can make it up North again!

My husband Eric and I sold the home in which we raised our family and built a smaller one on Kego Lake in Fifty Lakes, Minnesota, now that we've been empty nesters for awhile. We take a few week-long camping trips every year, and decided to open up our home for the times we're going to be gone. We offer a place of relaxation and fun, while earning money to pay our lake home taxes! So, this home is not really a "rental," we live here. We will be donating 10% of our profits to charities. We moved in August of 2019 and just love it. We hope that we can share this great spot with a few people each year. It's really a special place.

What makes this property unique

Our home is on a very quiet private road with pristine views of Kego Lake. It's newer construction and has a fun vibe. Kego lake is a popular fishing lake; you can fish off of the dock, or tool around in our 14ft fishing boat (free for guests staying 3 nights or more). If you prefer elbow grease to motors, take out the canoe or kayaks for an adventure. If you are looking for a particular date and we don't have our home listed, please contact us as we may be able to accommodate!
