We had a good time. The cabins are on a VERY busy road. It’s super cute. I didn’t see anyone catch a fish the two days we were there. Also it lists a hot tub… it doesn’t have one. They have really good onsite activities for kids. Beds were not the best but we did go offsite and rent a pontoon. The host sent us an email and offered a pontoon for 50.00 a day. It’s not a pontoon it’s a row boat with oars. Good area if you have small kids they will enjoy it. Make sure you bring your yard chairs and plenty of firewood.
We come down and stayed with our two kids for a baseball tournament and we had the best time! The kids had a blast on the inflatables and enjoyed fishing in the pond! If we come back to the area we will definitely stay again!
Absolutely loved the property. My boys loved being able to fish and ride the paddle boat. Close to downtown and Guntersville State park. Will definitely stay here next time!
Great place to stay excellent price. Convenient to downtown Guntersville and Guntersville State Park. They have a game room for the kids with inflatables and other games, have bicycles for the kids to ride. Kayaks are available to use on the pond. Will definitely be back.
We had plans to backpack for 3 nights, but a poor weather forecast forced us to change our plans and location. We were able to easily book the bear cabin last minute. The cabin was tidy and well equipped for cooking. It was very close to Guntersville State park - where we were able to hike during the days. We had a great weekend.
We only stayed one night because we had a trail race on Saturday morning so we didn’t get to use all the amenities but this was such a cute place and we already have plans to back another time! 10/10 recommend, hands down.
Had 4 adults and 1 toddler and had plenty of room. The property was beautiful and well maintained. The event center was a life saver when it came to occupying children in between fishing and kayaking. The house itself was great but there were a few things missing. Hand towels and rags were provided but not bath towels so make sure you bring those and there’s plenty of kitchen utensils but no oven mitts. Luckily if you forget anything there is a dollar general just up the road. There is also a small marina just down the road as well that rents pontoon boats for under 300. There’s so much to do that is so close to the cabins. We had a wonderful time and would absolutely stay again.
The property was very easy to locate. Cabin was perfect for us & 2 grands, ages 7&10. They loved having their own space in the loft! The recreation center was a hit and a perfect place to be on the hot summer afternoons! This was their first time kayaking and they both loved it. The kayaks could have been in better shape though. Self serve store was convenient, as well as the hot tub area. Overall, I would highly recommend. Just be sure to screenshot your check-in information before you arrive. We had to drive back up the road a ways to get cell service to get that info.
I can say I stayed in a tiny house at least once. I guess it was our age(60ish), the sofa and chair wasn't comfortable. The water for sinks and shower, we had to run for 20mins to heat up. The bed was very comfortable. We got the check in information a few hours before arrival.
The overall stay was good. I will recommend for younger ppl with children.
