About the host
Hosted by rodolfo lamberti
I am a graduate in Economics and I worked in financial management and have recently retired.
I am passionate about art and history books. As for sports, I like cycling and alpine skiing.
I live in the Lido of Venice and I'm happy to rent this apartment because I think it's the best solution for a family that travels and that can stop in Venice for a few days.

Why they chose this property
Venice is a unique city: there are no vehicles or other means of locomotion on land: in Venice people move on foot. But there is another circulation system: the water Lagoon, canals and the Grand Canal where you travel by “vaporetto”, or by boat, for a nice tour, gondola.
The absence of heavy traffic and walk around on foot in the city mark the life of the Venetians in a different way. The same applies to tourists.
Walking in Venice is above all a way of life every detail: the narrow streets, squares, foundations, are for tourists of special performances and unique.
Venice is also rich in museums, the cultural, artistic and of any kind dedicated to the Venetian citizens and foreigners.
For people used to live in the mainland city may seem difficult to move to Venice. But is not so.
The municipal administration welcomes tourists by facilitating much knowledge of the city and its infrastructure. Wherever there are offices with staff and brochures that teach how to move and list ticket prices, season tickets and discounts for multiple days. Added to this are instructions for access costs eased to museums, and various cultural events.
In the city there are interesting events throughout the year. To know just consult the website of the City of Venice.
Recall, however, the most important ones involving citizenship:
-February: The Carnival of Venice through the city with the rich costumes of the '700 and masks sold in many specialty stores;
-25 April, the feast of St. Mark, the patron saint of the city: on this day men give women a rose. This year the festival will be even more beautiful because it is combined with that of the Passover;
-third Saturday of July: the feast of the Redeemer with the spectacular fireworks in front of Piazza San Marco;
-End August - early September, the International Film Festival at Venice Lido. One of the most important festivals in absolute involving some squares where films are shown outdoors;
First Sunday in September: Historical Regatta i
