The Tarpon Cottage
Our recently 1918 renovated cottage is three blocks from the beautiful Apalachicola Bay.
You can stroll down to Lafayette Park and walk out onto the dock that overlooks the bay. It's a sight to behold. Watch a variety of birds, enjoy the porpoise chasing the bait fish. Or just sit and take in all of the natural beauty and quietness of what the bay has to offer.
We are in a quiet neighborhood and within walking distance to shops, restaurant's, the grocery store and the local pharmacy. You will find all the comforts of home here. It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. There are two bedrooms with king beds, and the third one has a queen bed.
There's a large screened- in porch where you can sip your coffee and enjoy the morning or afternoon quiet time. There is also a smaller private porch off of the master bedroom. Perfect for catching up on reading.
The kitchen is equipped with everything you might need to cook those amazing meals. There's a new gas grill outside on the second deck for your enjoyment of grilling. Or if you choose to dine out, there are many options around town.
The beautiful beach at St George's Island is located about 15 miles from Apalachicola.
I will provide you with all the beach equipment that you need to have a wonderful day in the sun. You should have everything you need to make your visit one to remember.

The neighborhood is very quiet. The neighbors are nice and friendly. You are 2 blocks from the grocery store. You are 3 blocks from the bay. Stroll down to the city park and dock and watch the most incredible sunset.
You are within walking distance to the downtown area. There are a lot of restaurants and shops for your entertainment and enjoyment.

What makes this property unique

The Apalachicola heaven home is beautiful and comfortable. As soon as you walk in the door you feel welcomed and relaxed. Come and stay and start unwinding as you sleep in or get your cup of coffee and head for the screen in porch. Or head to the front porch and sit on the swing and start planning your day.
You will find everything you need for your visit.
The kitchen is well appointed with everything you might need to cook in or if you feel like it, go out to eat at some of our great restaurants that we have to offer.
The home is spacious where you won't feel crowed. There are three large bedrooms with brand new comfortable beds and the finest of linens to ensure a good night's rest. The bathrooms are large and beautifully decorated. You will find plenty of towels and toiletries.
