Scott and I live in the Metrowest area of Massachusetts, where we have raised our two daughters. Scott works in Boston in the insurance industry and I work in the antique business.

Why they chose this property

Scott has been going to Swanzey Lake his entire life through camping at Pilgrim Pines and the attending the children's camp Squanto. We have been vacationing at Swanzey Lake with our girls for 20+ years and are thrilled to finally own a vacation home on the lake. We see this as a house that we will continue to make memories in for years to come, hopefully with grandchildren some day!!

What makes this property unique

What made us fall in love with the house were the lake views from the dining room, living room and deck. We were looking for a lake house, but didn't want a camp that needed a lot of maintenance. The light and open floor plan with cathedral ceilings, fireplace and beautiful woodwork, along with the fireplace, 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms sealed the deal for us. We love that the house can be used all four seasons and the fact that it has a first floor bedroom for our guests who can't climb stairs, was a plus. Scott is also a 'tree lover', so the privacy afforded by the wooded lot appealed to us. No grass to mow!
