We appreciated the quiet neighborhood with lots of beds and adequate kitchen supplies. Hot tub was clean and a nice addition in the chilly evenings and helpful for sore muscles after a race.
My family and I loved staying at Peregrine Pines and wish we could've stayed longer! There were games and video games to keep the kids busy, the hot tub was amazing(especially when it snowed a little bit), the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking, and it was so close to the zoo and the slopes. We will definitely be coming back!
Everything was as listed online. Everything we needed was provided. Clean and spacious. Nice neighborhood. Communication with property manager was great
Clean & quiet, lots of amenities. Heaters downstairs worked well in autumn, & showers had good pressure. The backyard doesn't have much privacy for the hot tub, but that might bother everyone. We didn't stay upstairs but it looked clean & cozy. VRBO/owner wouldn't let me skip rating the ski experience, but it was autumn, there was no snow, & I don't ski. I put 3 stars for that--hopefully that won't be a must-answer in the future since Big Bear is a yr-round place.
I was hoping to give this better than 3 stars, but the fact that this property had so many 5 stars, I felt compelled to post an updated and possibly more accurate review. First off, it’s definitely cute…and maybe better for a winter pad vs summer. We stayed in July 2026, so no snow anywhere, full visibility of the property. Checking in was fine, not seemless. The instructions said the code was for the lockbox, which it wasn’t…it’s for the digital deadbolt. Took a bit to figure that out. But the first thing to note, BOTH bathrooms are on the first floor. One bedroom is on the 1st, the other is upstairs, as well as the loft space. Fairly inconvenient for the crew on the 2nd floor, which can definitely get HOT up there too by the way. Downstairs bedroom has a ceiling fan that’s fine as long as you leave it on the 1st speed, 2 and 3 is way too loud for sleeping. Everything else inside was fine, lots of good kitchen supplies provided, most everything you could want, except ice trays…..Outside, the front porch was fairly worn, definitely needs a refurb. The picnic table on the deck was too rotted to be used, it almost looks like it could fail if sat on by someone with some heft. Out back, the hot tub wasn’t even really usable. Had a handful of jets, with one even spraying straight up out of the water, which wasn’t ideal…but you also have a great view of the several neighboring homes (and they of you) through the chain link fence surrounding the small yard and unusable chairs.
