Such a beautiful home and property! We enjoyed spending time on all three decks watching the tides come and go. The seals were also fun to see. So much to see and do so close by. Relaxing and rejuvenating.
Beautiful, peaceful, full of wildlife we even saw harbor seals. Beautiful, clean and the multiple decks made it so fun to be outside. Sunsets were awesome. Beds comfy and everything you could think of to cook if you want too.Lubec is a beautiful area to get away from it all. The property is totally private. Will rent again when it's not already booked. Thank you for letting us enjoy your beautiful home.
Best host I ever had and i have been renting VRBO's for over 20 years.Stacey provided great recommendations for places to eat and sites as well. Her place was very, very nice, secluded and we loved the water view.Stacey also got back to me, always in a timely matter and made sure we had whatever we needed.Beds where very comfortable and the house had all the supplies you would need for a great vacation and we could get fresh Maine lobster close by either from a lobster coop type place or in a local restaurant..
I have never stayed anywhere that was as serene as this home and property. The home was well furnished, cozy and comfortable. The location on the waterfront was stunning and made better by the three additional decks down by the water. It was extremely quiet day and night and watching the huge tides differential was an experience in itself. Finally, it was a pleasure to deal with the owner, Stacey. I'll definitely be back.
Beautiful location and lovely house. Very relaxing week spent hiking and watching the tides and incredible sunsets from one of the multiple decks on the property.
This was our third year returning to Stacey’s extraordinary home, and every arrival feels like stepping out of ordinary life and into another world. The house is beautiful, comfortable, and thoughtfully cared for, with views that change by the hour. Stacey always seems to know exactly what you need, exactly when you need it.What makes this place unforgettable is the soul of the Bold Coast. Lubec, Cobscook Bay, and the surrounding protected lands offer experiences every bit as moving as Acadia, but with more quiet, space, and discovery. We watched a mother deer teach her newborn to swim, saw bald eagles overhead, and met the sweetest roly-poly porcupine. The hiking is world-class. The five-mile West Quoddy Head loop through the Inland, Bog, Thompson, and Coastal trails is one of the most beautiful hikes we have ever done. Bring coffee, snacks, and a blanket, then stop to listen, watch the water, and look for seals, porpoises, or whales. Black Duck Cove, Denbow Point, and Black Point Brook are also exceptional.A private cruise with Captain Kinny of Eastport Charter was fantastic and surprisingly comparable in price to larger tours. Nearby favorites include La Laiterie in Jonesport, Monica’s Peruvian chocolates, Betty’s seafood, Smithereen Farm, Bold Coast Coffee, and Crow Town Gallery. This is more than a place to stay. It is a place that restores you. We leave each year with full hearts, renewed spirits, and deep gratitude for Stacey and this remarkable corner of Maine.
Fabulous place to getaway from it all and just relax. All was as described in description of property. View was stunning. House clean and super comfortable. Communication with owner was great.
Truly enjoyed our vacation at Stacy’s VRBO home. The home is beautifully decorated and the water views are amazing. I’ve stayed in many “ HOME AWAY’S “ and Stacy’s is definitely 5 stars !
This was our second stay at Seaside Sanctuary. We had a wonderful time kayaking and enjoying the peace and solitude. Hope to return again soon.

I’ve been saying here for nearly ten years. Aside from the stunning location, I appreciate that I can make my trip as busy or as quiet as I want, and there is something for every interest: hiking on one of the Cobscook Trails, grabbing a beer and listening to live music at Lubec Brewing Company, meeting artists as the numerous galleries in the area (make sure to visit Crow Town Gallery), chat with the locals, or just have some quiet time sitting on the back deck watching creatures cavort. It is my favorite place.
We had a beautiful week in Lubec. House had everything we needed, and more. Spent our first few days relaxing and listening to music, great CD collection. Bed was comfortable and it was great to wake up and have coffee and look out over the water.
An absolutely perfect place to get away from it all! Awesome sunsets, quiet breezes, and the wonder of giant tidal changes. Not another person in sight the entire week...just eagles, deer, and a few gulls. The Seaside Sanctuary was exactly what we expected, perfectly cozy with everything we needed for a getaway to recharge and reset. Scenic hikes in the area, cute seaside towns, and the lovely countryside were highlights that we mixed in with long relaxing days reading and sipping coffee on the many decks situated thoughtfully around the property. This was everything we had hoped for...we will be back!
The property is remote and therefore quiet and private. We had wonderful views of the water and the changing tides from the back deck and also areas to sit right in the shore and on the front porch a feel of being in the mountains with all the densely forested trees. It is in a great location for trips to Lubec and Eastport and to Canada. We had an unforgettable week thanks to this special “Seaside Sanctuary”

We made our first trip to Lubec in June 2013 and knew instantly that this was EXACTLY where we wanted to be. The natural, unspoiled beauty of the area and the gentle, simplicity of life here are a welcome respite from the everyday world. It's a place to unplug, recharge your batteries, and reconnect with family and friends while creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Why they chose this property
I have always loved nature and the outdoors and the minute we saw this property I knew it was what we had been searching for. The proximity to the water and views from within the home, on the deck, or at various spots around the property foster a strong sense of connection with nature. The enormous tides in the Bay of Fundy create an ever-changing landscape that is captivating to watch evolve.
