A great little private bungalow

We really enjoyed this spot! Tucked away in a little garden, it was quiet and private even though it was within a group of properties. Easy access to the beach, lots of chairs and umbrellas are provided (and carts to carry everything)! We loved our stay and time on the island. This will be a favorite vacation destination for years to come!

Awesome! Location, location, location.

My daughter and I came down from Michigan for a long weekend. We loved our cute little cottage. It was perfect for us, very cozy and quiet. Great location steps from the beach and the Harbor. Also within walking distance to the shops and restaurants on and near Bridge Street. The cottage was beautifully decorated and very clean. Would definitely visit again!

It's all about Location!

This property is located directly across the street from the beach. An easy walk even with a wagon full of chairs, umbrella, cooler and towels. Speaking of beach essentials, they are provided! The only complaint we had was the lack of seating in the living room.

The owners have everything you need here at the property for a perfect Beach stay. The location is ideal for walking to the beach for sunsets, the bayside for fishing and Bridge Street for shopping and dining. The owners went out of their way to make sure we were happy and included a nice welcome gift of wine. I cannot emphasize how very new and clean this unit was. The only negative was the AC being a bit noisy for us but we blocked it out with the white noise App. The premium linens and comfortable beds made up for this, as well! Thank you for a lovely stay!

Ana Maria Island, Awesome beach vacation!

This was our first beach vacation and this property was more than I expected. Beautiful tropical landscaped courtyard, quiet, very clean, updated and comfortable! My girls & I had a blast at the beach collecting shells & riding the waves, riding the bikes provided with our rental and parasailing over the gulf. Mark & Liliana very helpful, gracious hosts.This rental was more than what I expected, and very affordable! Will be booking our vacation for next summer at this location! Thanks for helping us make memories of a lifetime! P.S. The locals are the best! Tell Larry we said "hello" :)

Great Family Vacation

The listing description of the cottage was spot on! Everything was clean and in order. We cooked in the kitchen every day and had everything we needed (pots, pans, etc.). We were even able to get laundry done before we headed home which was a huge plus. Location was perfect for walking to the beach and shopping. Beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys and a cart to haul it all to the beach was right there for us. We went to the beach and walked to the pier at the end of the road daily. Even got to see a manatee at the pier and dolphins at the beach. Mark and his lovely wife couldn't have been anymore helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed the Anna Maria Island July 4th parade and fireworks on the beach. We have been to Anna Maria Island before but never on Bradenton Beach, we will return! Was a great family vacation, refueled the soul! We didn't feel like we needed a vacation after our vacation. I would absolutely recommend this fun vacation spot for anyone. Thank you!!! One must go to...Anna Maria Donuts...fresh made to order donuts!

Perfect location~walk to beach, bay, restaurants

I had originally rented a two bedroom with screened porch. Unfortunately, the AC was not working even though it was a fairly new AC unit so Mark moved us over to an adorable one bedroom with the option of returning to the two bedroom when the AC was repaired. My husband and I were very comfortable in the one bedroom and spent 8 days there. The unit was immaculate and well decorated with a beachy theme. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dishes, pots and pans etc. They even supplied an impressive array of spices! The bed was very comfortable and the AC was nice and cool making for a great night's sleep. One note: the shower stall was very small but we managed just fine. The courtyard is great; complete with barbecue grills and plenty of seating. It was a quick walk to the beach where we enjoyed the beautiful sunsets that this coast is famous for. There are quite a few restaurants within walking distance as well ~ very casual which thrilled my husband who is happiest in shorts and deck shoes! The Seafood Shack is a short drive over the bridge on Cortez and had excellent food and a charming décor. Also loved the bridge tender! Mark is an excellent host. He is nearby if you need him and responds quickly to email. I would stay in one of his properties again and I strongly recommend this VRBO!!

Perfect winter getaway... We LOVED this cottage!

My husband and I spent 9 days in this great cottage in February and will definitely come back. This was our first visit to the area and really didn't know whether to stay in the north/Holmes Beach area or more central/Bridge St. SO glad we chose this one -- mostly based on the great reviews here. This is part of an old-fashioned (but totally modern) beach resort with 9 or 10 units. There is a very large, beautifully landscaped courtyard with lots of seating options, from great Adirondack chairs perfect for a quiet reading spot to larger tables for families or groups to enjoy a drink or conversation. It is a very short and easy walk to one of the prettiest beaches I've ever seen, and an equally short walk to the bay, where a large pier with seating provides a tranquil spot to relax and watch the wildlife and boats. The cottage is two nice bedrooms, one bath (en suite in larger bedroom), and a living/dining/kitchen area -- would feel small if you were stuck inside all day, but that's not why you go to Florida! It was perfect for the two of us and would work great for a family of 3 or 4. There is also an attached screened porch, which we didn't use as the courtyard was so much nicer. We were not looking for luxury/high rise/fancy; we wanted charming & authentic and this is it. Mark and Lilliana provided so much hospitality and comfort: a bottle of wine and coffee on arrival, very responsive to requests for information, very nice linens, plenty of dishes/glassware, starter supplies of essentials like dish soap etc. A very thoughtful "landlord." We did not rent a car, though the cottage included what we learned was a very scarce assigned parking spot. We were just steps from the free trolley, which we loved and used almost daily, and a very easy walk to Bridge Street, the pier (for rentals, shops and excursions), and bars for great sunsets. Any other trips were easy using uber. We didn't cook while on vacation so I can't comment much on the kitchen -- nice appliances and plenty of utensils/cookware, good dishwasher; also appreciated the free laundry room, beach chairs/umbrella/cart. Lots of TVs for rare rainy days or late nights. We'd recommend the Beach Bistro, Waterfront and Blue Marlin restaurants for upscale dinners; Beach House and Sandbar for sunset/drinks; La Creperie; Tide Tables for a fun bay front dinner; paradise boat tours for dolphin watching; Cortez beach; Ringling circus museum ... And this cottage. Wonderful Florida vacation.

Overall great, clean place

The property was in an excellent location and the little condo community was really cute. The condo itself is very clean, but quite small with not much space in the kitchen/living area to hang out, so we enjoyed the courtyard several times. The short walk across the street to the Gulf and to the end of the road to the bay dock was priceless though! We also walked up to Bridge St several times for dinner, shopping, and coffee. It was a fine place to stay for a few nights, but being such a tight space, we probably wouldn’t book for much longer. A few things to note: The small bedroom has no windows and we could hear everything (!) through the wall to the next condo. The shower in that bathroom is tiny, kind of like a motor home shower. There is no bathtub in this unit. I also bumped my head twice on the corner of a metal shelf in the bigger bathroom, the second time quite badly. The host didn’t reply to my note letting him know this and suggesting that it be replaced or padded, so please be careful if it’s still there. He did, however, bring coffee filters out another time after we discovered that there weren’t any available. I’ll also note that the Little Free Library at the entrance was appreciated!

Location is perfect for a young family

Great spot for our family of 5. Location can’t be beat if you’re looking to spend a lot of time on the beach. Easy to walk down to bridge street for meals, dessert, and put put golf. All the wagons, chairs, and beach toys are available so you don’t have to worry about packing those. Space is small (as mentioned by other reviews) but we spent more time out. Our three young kids (6, 4, and 2) were able to share the king bed.

just steps to the beach

This is our third time at this location, (not the same room though) we enjoy the ease of walking and staying so close to the Bridge Street area and Beach! This place was great for 4 to sleep but in living area not enough furniture to all comfortably sit in living area, it is small it was ok, one or two of us were always back in the bedrooms to watch TV or lay down in the evening so all was good. One shower is super small, and stove/oven needs replaced, burners are not level. Thanks for the extra supplies in case you cant make it to the store before you arrive...like dish liquid, tp, soap. Cleaning crew very pleasant! So good to have use of umbrella, goggles, beach chairs, soft igloo, pool noodles, sand toys! We didn't use the grills but others did and boy did it smell good! We love it here in this complex! Thanks so much!

We have stayed at the property with the previous owner, the pictures that were posted were for Unit #9, when we arrived at the location we had a different unit. It was ok, just not the one we expected. I would definitely go there again.

We all had a great time at this property and found it to be clean and comfortable. This is my second stay in this general location, and the constant improvements made at the property are apparent. The location close to one of my preferred beaches on the island is icing on the cake. Communication with the property manager was pleasant. Easy to recommend!
