All Lies. To keep him happy, we responded to over 100 texts from Mr. D. He was never happy. We can only conclude that he was shaking us down for money and refunds. He has publicly dispariged VRBO and us constantly while staying at Lakeshore. Now to address these outragious complaints. Background: 2117 is a beautiful waterfront studio with modern features including tile floors, granite countertops, new kitchen cabinets, and all newer appliances, including the refrigerator. It has a large enclosed Lanai facing the water and a large 18x18 front patio. It has a newer $4300 Stern & Foseter xtremely comfortable king. mattress. It has a new perfectly working Mini Split HVAC. 1) Unit is completely bug free upon move in. Hurst Pest control continually monitors and sprays this and many unit at Lakeshore. Unfortunately, Mr. D. went camping for several weeks prior to his arrival and we suspect he brought "nature" into the unit with his camping gear strown everywhere. He also has a cat. He complains, after a week or so into his rental, of ONE dead palmetto bug and 7, yes 7 ants. This was on Friday night. We contacted Hurst and had him spray in and out at Mr. D's request. I paid the $100. Gratis, 2) Toilet is a PREMIUM Kohler dual-flush toilet that tenant somehow kept complaing about, although it worked perfectly each and every time it was inspected during his 3 month stay. 3) His Junk fridge statement is outragious. He put a large box of corndogs int the freezer and kept the freezer gapped open at least 1/2 inch, causing the compressor to continually run and frost to build up. You can't make this stuff up. Our maintenance man moved the box of corndogs and voila, the freezer would close properly. 4) "Junk Pans" He complaing about no roasting pan via VRBO Case he open, and a single teflon pan that didn't meet his standards. I compted him $50 to resolve the issue. 5) "Broken Screens" - He opened a Case at VRBO. The screens were all intact and functional upon check in. We suspect he damaged the front door screen when move his possessions in and out of the front door. He inspected the beautful waterfront corner studio upon his arrival, thoroughly and agreed everything looked and smelled great! No complaints whatsoever for the first week or two. To settle the "complaint", we compt him $50 without assigning blame, and suggested we can apply the $50 to replace the screen or he could keep the $50 and apply clear screen tape as a temporary measure to the 6 inch screen gap. He chose the tape and pocketed the 50 bucks. So why is he still complaining? 6) "Complete Dump" comment is especially outragious, becase he requested at the zero hour to arrive 1.5 days early ($150.00 Value). I accepted, and gave him this early arrival for FREE. I booked 3 Professional Cleaners who cleaned every inch of the place spotless. He was so happy that he said they could leave so he could un pack from his camping rendevous. They swept and mopped the back lanai and pressure washed it! He to them they could go. 2 weeks later he started complaining about place needing more cleaning? What? It was spotless. Without arguing, I arranged a 2nd $150 cleaning gratis to keep him happy. This is a fairly easy unit to clean because it has tile floors so I thought NBD. We stand by this beautiful corner villa at 2117 Lakeshore Club Villas and do 100% of our rental via the VRBO APP . We also compted this renter premium pet services ($800), trailer storage ($450), and cable upgrades ($200) PRIOR to his arrival. His negative comments against us and VRBO only strengthens our resolve to continue serving our Customers with VRBO as the premium platform for short term rentals.
