The Overlook | Mountain Views, Hot Tub, Fire Pit, EV Charger

The Overlook is the largest and most architecturally unique home in the Blue Morning collection — a modern double A-frame with generous gathering spaces, mountain views, private outdoor areas, and a layout built for families and friends traveling together.

At the center of the home, the dining room connects the two A-frames and opens completely to the outside through accordion doors. With the water feature moving just beyond the table, dinner can feel less like eating indoors and more like gathering over a burbling mountain stream.

Inside, the home is designed for full houses and longer stays, with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, multiple king bedrooms, an upstairs bedroom with double and twin beds, a full kitchen, comfortable living spaces, smart TVs, YouTube TV, high-speed WiFi, laundry, linens, towels, and family-friendly essentials.

Outside, start the day with coffee and long views, spend the afternoon exploring Boone, Valle Crucis, ski areas, hiking trails, shops, and restaurants, then come back for the private hot tub, fire pit, gas grill, decks, and a quieter kind of mountain evening.

The Overlook is dog-friendly and includes a Level 2 EV charger. It is part of Blue Morning, a small collection of modern mountain homes close enough for shared trips while still giving each home its own space.

From the very beginning, our host’s communication was impeccable - warm, responsive, thoughtful, and incredibly helpful throughout our entire stay.The home was even more beautiful than we expected. It was incredibly well appointed, comfortable, peaceful, and clearly designed with so much thought and care. Every detail felt intentional, and there truly was something for everyone. It was the perfect place to relax, spend time together, and enjoy our trip.This was easily one of our favorite stays. We were genuinely sad to leave and wished we could have stayed longer. We made such wonderful memories here and are already talking about returning. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and recommend it without hesitation!

Beautiful home. Feels private. Host was very responsive. Beautiful sunrise and sunset. Saw double rainbow on our first day. Grandchildren loved chasing fireflies. EV charger was most appreciated. Well stocked kitchen. Never used the hot tub. Parking was a little tight for 3 large vehicles. Would definitely rebook.

Amazing home, excellent location, fully stocked, great for families

Such a lovely home, fully stocked kitchen, great playroom for small kids, and every little detail considered - dog bowls, high chairs, extra towels for the hot tub, EV charging. Everything included, made our stay so easy. Extremely close to a lot of stuff - minutes from groceries and restaurants, and 30 min or less to trails, hikes, Grandfather mountain, Blowing Rock, Blue Ridge Pkwy, etc. Loved it here, will come back.

Peaceful retreat!

We had such a wonderful at this property. The hosts really gave thought of everything you need to make your stay perfect. The house is very kid friendly, with a cool playroom that even my older kids loved. Communication was great as well. We will definitely be back!

Awesome and so welcoming.

Me and my family celebrated my 50th bday and We loved the house. The house looks even better in person, it was equipped with everything you need and so much more. Outstanding in every respect! The A-Frame was loaded with top notch amenities. From the master suite to the guest bedrooms and loft bunks, it had everything and more to accommodate our family of 9. The jacuzzi was wonderful as was the fire pit area. We truly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to return.

Amazing Stay at the Overlook

We had a fantastic stay at Brian and Jennifer's Overlook property. The A-frame was very well constructed and had amazing views from both porches. The side area w/ a fire pit and hammock was extremely relaxing, however the standout feature of the house was the Waterfall feature that went between the two parts of the house. It was beautiful visually, but even moreso it was relaxing to listen to through the accordion doors. The bedrooms were well decorated and live plants throughout the house added a nice touch. The beds were quite comfortable, especially the primary bedroom, and the room darkening shades were much appreciated. The hot tub provided a nice place to relax while overlooking the mountain after a day of hiking. The kitchen was extremely well appointed and had everything and more that would be needed for cooking at home. Overall, this was an excellent rental and we had a lovely time with family for the week. We certainly recommend this property to anyone looking to have a relaxing mountain getaway!!

We are a family who fell in love with the High Country after moving to North Carolina. Blue Morning grew from the idea of creating modern mountain homes for our own family, where we could gather, slow down, explore the woods, and feel close to Boone, Valle Crucis, and the best parts of the mountains. We designed the A-frames from the ground up and hope they feel as memorable to stay in as they were to create.
