Oceanfront Home in the pristine Canadian Gulf Islands

Ocean front house on one acre in rural setting very private and quiet. Great views of Saturna Island and Mount Baker. It is close to Poets Cove Resort which has a swimming pool, National Parks for hiking and access to two public beaches. Kayak launching is easy and the area is flat which makes it good for bike riding.

The house sleeps four with a queen size bed in the master bedroom and two twins in the second bedroom. There is one full bathroom with bathtub and shower and one half bath.

Please note that the washer and dryer are only available for stays of two weeks and longer unless a special arrangement is made.

Serenity and beauty

We enjoyed every moment of our two weeks at Richard’s property. The views of the ocean and Mt. Baker are breathtaking and the only sounds are the birds and the ocean. It is so peaceful. And the house has a great porch with many places to sit and eat or read, the bed is so comfortable and the kitchen well equipped for cooking. We loved our beach walks with our dog, the Saturday market, the local bakery.And Richard was wonderful to communicate with. We hope to come back next year.

Spectacular ocean view

Comfortable but old cottage needing upgrades. The view of the ocean and surrounding area are amazing and inspirational. Well equipped with amenities and all systems in good working order.

We had a great stay at Richard’s cabin. It was very clean and everything worked flawlessly! Near the end of our stay we checked in with Richard to see if we could book another day and he immediately responded and made it happen! Thanks Richard!

Perfect holiday cabin!

We have rented Richards cabin for 4 years in a row. Wonderful spot. Wouldn’t think of going elsewhere! Cabin was clean and everything in fine working order. We’ll be back next year!

Great location, view and essentials!

Enjoyed our second stay at Richard’s cabin. The view from the cabin is lovely and the location is central for exploring beautiful Pender Island. We also really appreciated having a well stocked kitchen for preparing meals at home. Richard was a good host and checked in with us during the stay. Would recommend this spot to anyone visiting Pender Island.

Relaxing Week on Pender

Overall the property was very clean and as advertised. Pricing reflects the 'vintage' style and condition of the home. Beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed.

Awesome location

Property is exactly as advertised. Lots of room and very private. Enjoyed the spectacular view and sun rises drinking coffee on the deck. A very short walk to great stairs down to the beach and lots of blackberry bushes close by. Location was central for us as we often went to Gowland Point.

Uninterrupted peace and quiet

A beautiful spot overlooking the ocean. Only rarely did the sounds of civilization intrude. The place was clean and orderly when we arrived. Everything we needed was there and everything was in good working order. Very comfortable and plenty of room. This was our second visit to this house and this trip was just as good as the first time.

Beautiful Oasis on Pender Island

We loved this property! We badly needed a restful vacation & this location delivered big time. I took so many pictures of the view my phone filled up! The wraparound deck was great. Breakfast outside every morning was a highlight. Accommodations were lovely with everything you need, just bring your own food & beverages & you are set. Owners provided very detailed instructions so our stay was worry free. Pender Island is a wonderful community. The roads are cycling friendly plus there are several fantastic hikes with amazing views. Jo's Place & Sea Star Winery were among the highlights. We are counting the days until we can return. Highly recommended!

Rest and relaxation on Pender island

We had a lovely week long stay at this property! The views were spectacular. The various seating areas, with Adirondack chairs near the edge of the property overlooking the ocean and tables and chairs on the deck allowed for everyone to have as much space as they wanted. The house is spacious, with a lovely kitchen and plenty of cooking utensils. We cooked the entire time we were there. Blackberry bushes at the edge of the property and on the road provided luscious berries for a pie. It's a calm and peaceful property. We took advantage of the Enchanted Forest walks on the South Island. Communication with Richard was easy and greatly appreciated.

disappointment in a beautiful setting

The natural beauty of the setting was unparalleled. The house itself was in fairly rough shape with the screen door falling out of its frame, cobwebs all over the ceiling, paint peeling, utensils in the drawers dirty and a musty smell pervading the house. Most distressing of all was the fact that the washer and drier (which were advertised in the listing) were locked off and unavailable. The hot tub was full of dirty water and debris.

Scenic and peaceful

We spent a week on Pender Island and had the bestvtime. The home is cozy, clean and very well appointed. There is a lovely view from every angle and the surrounding area is very peaceful. Richard is an excellent host, very responsive and helpful. My family and I can’t wait to return next year.

Great spot!

Very quiet area on S. Pender. Striking views. Fully equipped kitchen. We made a full Thanksgiving dinner as we vacationed over the long weekend. Check in was a breeze. Excellent communication with the host. Perfect for our family.

It’s quite a peaceful location with a stellar view. You have a perfect view of the sunrise.The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked and clean.The living room has satellite TV and I think I saw some gaming units in the cabinet as well to keep the kids occupied.
