This is a great location, a beautiful secluded house close to major highway (which you will NEVER hear). There are trails to hike on the property that allow to enjoy the beauty of the streams and mountains. The owner is available and great communicator. It was a great base camp for us to see the area. Easy to get to and very relaxing.

If I could I’d give this place 10 stars. Gorgeous private setting, lovely deck to drink my coffee and listen to the creek, visits from wildlife daily, and super fun swimming hole was a huge hit with the kids. Ken was SO NICE, very attentive, more like a kind neighbor than a landlord. We will DEFINITELY be coming back

Excellent, unique, peaceful experience. My family absolutely loved the property, and it helped make our trip one the kids will always remember. They are already asking to go back. If you're looking for a place to stay away from all the busy tourist sites, with quiet, solitude, and beautiful views, this is your place. Ken is an excellent host who obviously takes great pride in his very special property, which has both family and historical significance. I greatly enjoyed conversation with him. He was kind enough to drive us around the property when we arrived to show us all we could enjoy. It was clear he wanted us to have a great experience...and we did!

We had an amazing time staying a few days at the cabin. After being in tighter accommodations along a road trip with our kids this was exactly what we all needed. The cabin is great and well appointed with everything you need, and the views are fantastic from every deck or porch on the place. We intend to return again in the future for a longer stay. There is so much to see and do in the area and this is a great place to serve as base camp for that.

Beautiful, clean and comfortable home. We loved our stay here while exploring the Black Hills area. There was plenty of room for the seven of us. We enjoyed the stars in the beautiful night sky. We saw bighorn sheep up on the cliff above the stratobowl while we were on the deck.

Perfect Relaxing Family Spot

This property and host are amazing! We enjoyed sitting on the decks listening to the creek, watching animals wander along the creek, hiking the property's trails, and swimming at the swimming hole. A perfect place to call home while exploring the Black Hills - close to many of the areas attractions, yet very secluded, quiet, and beautiful.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. It is in a great location with lots to do in immediate stratobowl area with various hiking trails and a creek with a swimming hole which our kids really enjoyed kayaking in. The house was very nice and clean with beautiful views of the canyon and creek. Ken was wonderful and very hospitable; he gave us an introduction to the house and the surrounding area on the first day we arrived which was much appreciated. We definitely would love to come back again!
