This property is a gem. Jonas was very attentive and communicated extraordinarily well. I plan to stay again. I gave 5 stars, but would have given more if that was possible!
Amazing property with a beautiful remodel. The kitchen was very well renovated with of the line appliances and plenty of seating that made it a fun location to hang out with a larger group. The bedrooms and bathrooms were also very spacious and comfortable. Jonas was a wonderful host and went out of his way to make sure we had a fantastic stay.
Very well done updated Greek revival farmhouse. Gorgeous interiors. Very close to Sky meadows state park for outdoor activities. Easy drive to front Royal and skyline drive. Highly recommend.
Fabulous place. Gorgeous views from every window. The place is newly renovated with high end finishes. Spotless. Super comfortable beds. Kitchen is very well equipped. Patio with Blackstone and Weber and firepit encourage you to enjoy the outdoor setting. Cows come by every morning on their way in to eat. Host is very responsive and attentive. I highly recommend this place!
This home was the perfect place for a peaceful getaway from the city for a few days. It was spacious enough to give each family some privacy with several options for enjoying time together with movie nights, family meals, games, and nature hikes. The kids especially loved exploring the creek and seeing the cows! The kitchen was a dream to cook in and the host was very welcoming and responsive. Can’t wait to come back!
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful farm house. The house is spacious and comfortable - the beds were awesome (including the pull out couch!), the bathrooms were well stocked and appointed, the kitchen was gorgeous and equipped with top end appliances and every pot/pan/cooking instrument you might need. The property has been recently renovated and it is a wonderful combination of modern conveniences and original charm. The property itself is expansive and bucolic - plenty of room to roam. We even got a close up view of the cows! The host, Jonas, was readily available and supplied lots of good local recommendations. I highly recommend this property.
I stayed at this farmhouse with a couple of friends for a quick guys trip and it did not disappoint. All the modern comforts tucked inside a handsome historic home located a 5-20 mins drive from great hiking, breweries, vineyards, pubs, restaurants, and quaint towns with fun shops. The house has ample space to hang out across a few rooms on the ground floor and several large bedrooms on the second floor, with great furnishings throughout. The views are spectacular—who knew the mountains can change color so many times in one sunrise or sunset—and having a drink by the fire along the creek bed made for a memorable evening. Highly recommend staying here.
We were a group of 8 family members attending a wedding. The place was perfect and my brothers were very grateful that I picked the place. The house could be featured in an Architectural digest, just beautiful. I could only wish my house was so nice.
We hosted breakfast for our children and it had everything you could possibly need.
Thank you so much for a beautiful home and all the little things you provided to make for a wonderful stay.
Stunning property in tranquil and relaxing setting
This is an absolutely gorgeous property and one of the more relaxing stays I have had. First of all, the grounds are beautiful. You feel like you are truly far away from it all with views of rolling hills and peaceful farmland. The house itself is breathtaking - obviously newly remodeled. The furnishings are a perfect mix of new pieces and antiques. The kitchen is stunning and huge - with everything you could think of or need. Finally, even though we felt like we were far away from it all, we were so surprised by how close the house was to antique shopping and delicious restaurants. We will definitely be staying here again!
We loved our stay at this home! We visited with 9 people (4 adults and 5 young children) and had more than enough room. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The home is classic but has been beautifully updated (very large kitchen with multiple dishwashers, ovens, sinks; brand new bathrooms). The home is set on a beautiful property, with views of expansive farmland. There is a lovely outdoor space where the kids ran around and played soccer. Easy drive to nearby towns like Middleburg and Marshall. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!
The photos of the 1880 Farmhouse don't prepare you for the experience of the place. The farmhouse sits tall on a hill surrounded by undulating green fields. Once inside, you are always aware of the landscape and the sky, framed by scores of tall sash windows. The spacious rooms, high ceilings, muscular woodwork create a palpable sense of permanence and serenity. The decor, done by the Host, manages to mix history with the present in a way that is elegant yet unpretentious, warm, and welcoming. Every piece of furniture, every painting, every element seems exactly suited to the place. The whole property is fully equipped with everything guests could need, particularly the kitchen, which provides among other things two ovens and two dishwashers, a massive refrigerator and freezer. Beds are quite comfortable. The location is central to many of the villages and towns of horse country. The Host provides spot-on recommendations for restaurants, breweries and wineries, and activities. He met us at the property for check-in and gave us a fascinating tour of the property; afterwards, he was exceptionally responsive to questions by text.
This house is beautiful with a spacious and well equipped kitchen. The house managers thought of everything and provided coffee and even wood for us to use in the wood burning fireplace which really set the tone for our Christmas family reunion. The pictures don’t do it justice, the views from this property are unparalleled.
We were about 10 minutes from Upperville and had a catered dinner from Blue Water Kitchen on our first night and then ventured into Middleburg the next day (about 15-20 minute drive) and capped off the night with a meal at Hunters Head Tavern which is fairly close to the house. Overall, we had a really nice stay and can’t wait to return!
What an incredible place to stay.We booked this house for a group of friends attending Jay West's 11th Hour Festival at the Provenance & Reveries estate, and it couldn't have been a better home base. The location was perfect—just a short drive to the festival while still feeling like you were tucked away in the beautiful Virginia countryside. The house itself is absolutely beautiful. You can tell it's been thoughtfully renovated while preserving all of the character and history of the property. Some of our favorite memories of the weekend weren't even at the festival—they were back at the house gathered around the large dining room table, cooking together in the spacious, well-equipped kitchen, and relaxing on the back patio with great friends and even better pours. The home was spotless, incredibly comfortable, and had plenty of space for everyone to spread out while still making it easy to come together. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway, a place to reconnect with friends and family, or somewhere to stay while exploring Virginia wine country or attending the 11th Hour Festival, I can't recommend this property enough. We'll absolutely be back. Thanks for providing such an amazing place that became such a memorable part of our weekend.
