Beautiful updated classic Chico charmer on the main level, only 2 blocks from Bidwell Park and 5 blocks from downtown. The house has been recently transformed into a light and bright space with all the necessities to make a short or long stay comfortable, while maintaining the 1940's charm.

With 3 good size bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms (one that's a Jack & Jill), comfortable living room, spacious dining room, fully stocked kitchen, laundry room and a large backyard area with fire pit and BBQ... you can enjoy all Chico has to offer or stay in and enjoy TV and fast wifi speeds.

Where there are upgrades they are nice, but the windows not opening or no screens on some was a bummer to not air out the place. (We like to open up and enjoy the evening breeze) Owner explained they were in the middle of upgrading the gutters. Communication was excellent. Very friendly! Location is close to park and downtown area.

Lovely home, great location

Our family had a wonderful stay at this lovely home. Would definitely recommend. Clean, well stocked and comfortable. Host was very communicative when we couldn’t figure out how to use the heater. We had a lovely stay, would definitely book again.

Really nice place for the price, perfect for just a small group to have a really lovely time. Only problem we had all weekend was with the AC units not being able to heat up. Really nice hosts and very prompt responses. Would 100% stay agaim

We are both working professionals (COO for a manufacturing company & a Fire Captain) that have been active Airbnb/VRBO hosts for 6 years. We keep busy with 2 kids at home, 3 dogs and 20 chickens. I am born and raised in Chico, while my husband is originally from L.A.

We purchased the historic 1938 Senator Johnson home late 2018 on the opposite side of the park and did extensive updating and remodel work, that lead to becoming Airbnb/VRBO hosts. We slowly made it the property we've always dreamed of which grew our love for historic homes as well!

Why they chose this property

In 2022 we added this home, another Chico charmer, to our rental collection. This 1940 craftsman needed some love, so we poured ourselves into it, while also redoing the unit below. This home is everything there is to love about Chico - a few blocks to downtown, and even closer to amazing times at Bidwell Park.

What makes this property unique

We've remodeled the home to provide ease and comfort, ample space for families, the features one would expect and need while travelling; heating & air, full offering of appliances and cooking utensils, amenities, laundry room, dishwasher, satellite TV, fast Wi-Fi, a fire pit and BBQ out back... all while also maintaining the original classic charm. We love sharing the quintessential Chico experience with guests.
