We had a great stay for a family vacation end of July. Location was great to visit near by areas. Host gave wonderful suggestions on restaurants and things to do. Host was also very responsive when needed. Outdoor furniture could use some upgrades (add some Adirondacks to sit and look at the water around the fire pit and a more comfortable sectional) but overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. Cheers!
From finding the house, to the amazing views and cozy nooks, this is what every vrbo listing should be. Anyone who stays here will feel the care and comfort the homeowners have put into their home. Within driving distance of anything and everything you could need. It was a fantastic find and we are definitely going to be back! This was our best and favorite stay so far.

Beautiful Location, Disappointing Experience
We stayed at this lakeside home for our honeymoon, drawn in by its beautiful location between Niagara on the Lake and St. Catharines. The views of Lake Ontario were stunning, and the location provided quick access to wineries, restaurants, and local attractions. Unfortunately, the condition and cleanliness of the home did not match the listing or the high price we paid.Upon arrival, the home was hot and muggy. The A/C wouldn’t cool below 72F, and the property manager suggested opening a sliding door but the screen didn’t fully close, allowing bugs in. The couches were visibly worn and discolored, making us uncomfortable without a blanket laid down first. Several sliding doors didn’t work, and the walls and floorboards were damaged. The outdoor hot tub cover was falling apart, and patio furniture had no cushions, only after our stay were we told they were in a closet. The kayaks were missing but delivered after we asked. Most concerning were the stained bed linens. We had to search the house to find clean enough sheets to sleep in, which was disappointing on our honeymoon.Though the property managers were communicative, the home was far from the luxurious experience we expected. We shared our concerns after the stay, and were told we should have reached out sooner, but these issues shouldn’t have existed in the first place. The home has potential, but it needs serious attention.

Response from VrboOwner on 2 June 2025
Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed the beautiful lake views and convenient location.
We’re sorry to hear some aspects of your stay fell short of expectations and would like to provide some clarification. We followed up the morning after you mentioned the A/C but didn’t receive a response. Upon inspection after check-out, we found the thermostat had been set extremely low, which froze the line—something we could have addressed quickly with communication.
All linens are professionally cleaned off-site, and both pre- and post-stay inspections revealed no stains. We would have been happy to provide fresh linens if contacted. Couch cushions and furniture are sanitized between stays, and while there may be minor wear in a high-turnover home, repairs are done regularly.
The hot tub cover is a temporary fix while we await a replacement, as communicated during your stay. The patio cushions were stored in the closet to protect them, and we would have directed you to them had you asked. We also delivered the kayaks on request, despite the season not yet starting.
This is our home, not a hotel, and while we strive for high standards, some wear is natural. We appreciate your feedback and wish you all the best.
