Romantic & private cabin on Rogue River, 1 hr from Crater Lake
Nestled along the banks of the Rogue River, the Rogue River Lodge is one of the earliest known lodges built in the Upper Rogue Valley that is still in existence today. Completed in 1937 as part of the original lodge, the cabin has been lovingly restored to reflect the ambiance of the mid 1930's era. Step back into a simpler time with our one bedroom cabin with amenities that include an antique kitchen, bathroom, sitting room and French doors that open onto a spacious deck, just feet away from the Rogue River.
Enjoy a peaceful afternoon on the deck watching for bald eagles flying and salmon jumping or just drift off to sleep listening to the light rapids of the Rogue.
This cozy home-away-from -home sleeps up to four persons, with a queen bed in the bedroom, and a double fold out futon bed in the living area. There is also a riverside hot tub and dry/moist 2 person sauna for our guests' enjoyment.
Rogue River Lodge offers an amazing range of things to do in the nearby area. Whether it’s a round of golf, fishing, hiking or wine tasting in the summer or skiing, snowmobiling or snowshoeing in the winter there are plenty of opportunities to explore the sights and tastes of the region, year round.
Our cabin was also named one of the 14 most romantic cabins in Oregon in 2021!
**The cabin is not ADA and does have one small step. It is adjacent to a riverside event venue and event center which is popular during the summer and on a public river access for boaters.
Keywords: The cabin is ideal for tourists & locals - located just 30 minutes from Medford, and 50 miles to Crater Lake, minutes from Lost Creek Lake, and a short drive to Prospect and Union Creek.

This is a beautiful location. Full of charm and nostalgia but modern enough for comfort. Loved the view and peacefulness of the location. We could have stayed for a month! If you are looking for a peaceful location to connect with nature this is the place!!
Delightful cabin, hot tub and sauna were relaxing on cold winter evenings. Morning coffee on the deck while watching river otters was lovely. Lots of local hikes and sites to enjoy in the area. Highly recommend!
The cabin was very private and everything was better than expected. It had everything we needed in the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. The linens were clean and the hot tub and sauna were working. The location was amazing, as advertised. Highly recommended
The location of this cabin is ideal. The deck has a lovely view of the water, and even in October we saw a few kayakers and others on the water. Loved the privacy, as well.Great visit and would consider a return, maybe in a warmer month just to get on the water, now that we know the lay of the land.
Amazing stay! Every detail of the cabin was thoughtful. The kitchen was fully stocked with all cooking utensils plus coffee and half n half. We stayed for thanksgiving and I was able to bake my pie in the oven which was really helpful. The spa and sauna were the icing on the cake. The host was very quick to respond and check in was a breeze. The coolest part is there is only one cabin so you have the entire place to yourself if there are no events scheduled at the lodge. I hope to come back and stay again soon :)
The property was next to the rogue river with a patio providing a great relaxing ambiance. The private outdoor jacuzzi was lovely. The fireplace was a real plus. All instructions were very specific and easy to follow. It was exactly what i was looking and hoping for as we explored crater lake national park and surrounding ateas
Cute, cozy cabin right on the Rogue river. We loved having the doors/screen door in the bedroom so we could wake up to the sounds of the river. We had breakfast on the deck and watched kayakers/rafters going by both mornings we were here. It was very private and peaceful for a relaxing weekend away. We enjoyed the photos displaying the history of the cabins. Would stay here again!
This cabin was amazing! We couldn't say enough about how we enjoyed our stay. From the back deck right on the Rogue river where we enjoyed watching waterfowl, river otters, and trout swimming by. To relaxing in the hot tub after a day hiking about. It exceeded our expectations. The historic cabin is just the right size for a couple and has a great charm from the antique decor items to modern conveniences. Clean, comfortable, and private. I would 100% recommend!!

Gorgeous cozy cabin on the Rogue River. It’s about an hour from Crater Lake. Perfect location, the cabin is rustic, old fashioned and cozy. The river views are amazing. Sitting on the deck looking at the river was the most peaceful moments I have had in a long time. There is a convenient store about a mile away with a Mexican family that makes delicious burritos. I recommend and would definitely go back. I fell in love with this place.
Great location on the river close to Crater lake. The outdoor space was amazing and it was nice sleeping with the doors open to hear the river and feel the cool air.
Would definitely stay again.
This was the perfect place to relax and re-set. A friend recommended and so glad we came!

What makes this property unique
A guest was enjoying a private dinner on the cabin deck, dining on a fresh steelhead special we had that evening. A mature bald eagle flew down in front of them, grabbed a salmon from the river and proceeded to eat his salmon, while the guests enjoyed their dinner. Where else could you experience such a unique opportunity?
Prop open the bedroom doors, and go to bed listening to the gentle noise of the river, breathing in fresh air and seeing a beautiful array of stars overhead.
