Lovely home - exactly as advertised. Breathtaking views! We were even able to watch the Cripple Creek fireworks show from the deck. Would highly recommend.
Amazing view! We didn’t spend much time indoors. You can sit and look at Pike’s Peak! Just awesome for us as we are porch sitters! There was a slight electric problem with the kitchen light but we reported it and we had lamps and the stove light to use.
All I can say is “Amazing”. What you see on the website is what you get. Beautiful view of the mountains from sunrise to sundown. This was the first family trip me, my girlfriend along with my sisters took out of state together and it was a memorable one. From train rides, hiking trails, and just enjoying the fresh cool air colorado has to offer oh my what more could anyone ask for. We from Texas so we are used to ACs 24/7 but you open a window and the cool Colorado air is enough to cool you off in a second. We enjoyed the home so much we already planning a longer stay for next year. Thank you Daniella for your hospitality, your beautiful home we and hope to see you next year
My brother and I took a week long hiking trip and randomly happened upon this property. The pictures on VRBO made it look amazing, but they don't compare to the actual location/ property. As soon as we arrived, we immediately went onto the deck to check out the view and we stood there for probably 20 minutes before we finally decided to unload our car. The house itself was very clean, it had everything you would need for a vacation, and it was always great to come back to after hiking all day. If I could note any downside, it would be that the trip to and from the property will add about 10 minutes onto your drive, but it's always 100% worth it!
If a tent came with that view, I would consider reserving in the future. Add a cozy house with unique characteristics and a future reservation is a definite.
You won't get better views of the surrounding mountains. Tucked away from crowds and private. The host was great and very responsive to questions. Checkin was a breeze. Would stay here again.
If anyone is booking for a fishing trip this house is convenient to cheesman canyon, 11 mile canyon and the dream stream.
This is home is and has everything you would want. The views are amazing, the beds are so comfortable (we may be buying one like it), and it has all the extras you would want in a rental home. We appreciated having spices, sugar, flour, cooking oil, and syrup available to use. The owners were quick to answer any questions we had.
This house had everything as described, but the views were so much better! We spent so much time on the porch just looking at the mountains and lake you can see for miles! Cute and cozy house with plenty of space for all of us. The loft upstairs was perfect for our kids to hangout at night. Not far from stores and restaurants. Very peaceful and quiet, we’ve already booked our next trip to this house!
This place had a wonderful view and was perfect for what we wanted, the only negatives of this property was the hanging fireplace is not operational and the owner said there was a grill outside for outdoor cooking and there was not. Don't let that fool you, the drive to the property is very scenic with lots of wildlife. its a reasonable drive to alot of the tourism in the area.
Recently stayed at this wonderfully remote little house! If you’re looking for luxury accommodations, this is not the place for you. You have to travel a dirt/gravel, well kept road for about 3 miles to reach the home. But that is what makes this place so special! The house is located at the top of a small mountain which affords it the most amazing views. If star gazing is your thing, you won’t believe the night skies.
The house itself is basic but will meet your needs. There were only 3 people in our party but the house could accommodate at least 6 comfortably. We didn’t spend a lot of time at the house, we basically used it for sleeping as we spent our days exploring the wonderful hiking opportunities nearby. I highly recommend Mueller State Park, which is just a short drive away.
The house is located a short drive from Florissant and there is a great little restaurant and brewery called Iron Tree and Funky Town Brewery. Food was so good we ate there twice!
We’re home now, but I still keep thinking about those views!
Highly recommend!
As I drove higher and higher up this winding (but not treacherous,) very well-maintained mountain road toward the property, I marveled at the views and the privacy offered. The views from the back porch, however, blew me away. From the snow-capped Pike's Peak to the East, to the panorama of mountains, trees, and water all around me, everything was as beautiful and perfect as I'd hoped. The house was clean and cozy, and would have indeed slept eight comfortably. (Although bathroom time would have been at a premium if we'd had eight!) Luckily, there were only two of us, and the house was perfectly comfortable for our stay. There were a few minor issues that I documented for the hosts, but they weren't anything that I felt should be addressed while I was there, so I just notified them after I left. They were great with immediately answering the few questions that I did have during my stay though!
I was pleased to find that the cabinets were stocked with some basic spices, and things that other guests had purchased but not used - sugar, rice, etc. There were basic kitchen tools and cooking implements, and everything was easily located. The kitchen is small, so plan to just have one person cooking there at a time; however, there is ample seating between the table and the two sofas. The WiFi held up great the entire time we were there, and we appreciated the Smart TVs that let us log into streaming accounts to watch movies.
During the day, we ventured out to some really cool places - highly recommend Guffey Gorge/Paradise Cove, and Cripple Creek. However, if you just wanted to stay in and relax, soaking in all the quiet of a secluded mountain getaway - this is the perfect place for you.
They were very quick to respond and very accommodating. The views and wildlife here are amazing.
What a beautiful place. Scenary, views, wildlife. You have it all. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly. The few issues I had were quickly addressed and am already rebooking another stay.
My family and I loved our stay in this beautiful cabin. It’s in a great location with beautiful views of mountains all around. There is plenty of opportunities for wildlife sightings as well. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone! Holly and Trevor are great hosts and will help with anything needed promptly during your stay ensuring you have a great time.
Had so much fun playing board games and even got to dance in the snow on the back porch looking at the mountain tops. The location is absolutely perfect, which is why we keep going back! Close to so many activities, and the owner is quick to respond to any questions.
