Looking for that sweet spot where you can kick off your shoes, breathe in the ocean air, and truly unplug? Welcome to our sunny little slice of heaven in Point Judith—tucked perfectly between the wide blue sea and the calm waters of Salt Pond.
This charming cottage is made for easy living. Start your day with a barefoot walk to Scarborough Beach (just 15 minutes on foot), then rinse off in the outdoor shower and head 10 minutes in the opposite direction for a sunset stroll by Salt Pond. Between the two? Pure summer bliss.
The house is full of cozy spots to gather and stretch out. The sunroom—light-filled and breezy—is the heart of the home, perfect for board games, afternoon snacks, or quiet time with a book. The living room offers a cooler, more tucked-away space for movie nights or naps. Two comfy bedrooms plus a futon in the sunroom sleep up to five guests.
Outside, the south-facing deck is where mornings begin and dinners end, grill sizzling and laughter flowing. The yard’s just right for cornhole, cartwheels, or an afternoon nap in the grass.
We’ve got you covered with a well-stocked kitchen, modern bathroom, and washer/dryer for sandy clothes and salty towels. Everything you need for an easy, breezy week away.
When you’re ready to explore, the area is full of adventures—Block Island ferries, fresh seafood, surfing, go-carts, tennis, kayaking, and some of the best mini golf around. And if you’re feeling fancy, Newport’s just over the bridge.
But truthfully? You might find that your favorite moments are the simplest ones: a cup of coffee in the sunroom, the hush of waves nearby, the sparkle of water in every direction.
Come experience Paradise Between Salt Pond and the Sea. We’d love to welcome you.

Such a gem of a stay in Narragansett. Everything is well maintained and clean! This is the perfect location to be close to but not right on salty brine beach and Galilee. Having the salt pond at the end of the road is the best to launch a kayak or go fishing.

Thank you so much! We were so happy to have you as guests again. You are so thoughtful and obviously love it as much as we do. We hope to see you again next summer!
We had a lovely week at this house, a short ride to the beach, Iggy's and Aunt Carrie's. The beds were comfortable, and anything we needed was swiftly supplied by the very friendly owner. It's a nice quiet side street and location really can't be beat.

Linda and her husband were the perfect guests and they left the house spotless. We would love to host them again.
Very clean cottage. I recommend this property to all who like the cozy feeling of a classic cottage. I was happily surprised of the outdoor shower.
Pleasant and courteous owners as well.
We loved our stay at this very comfortable home. It had everything we needed and the location is perfect. it was a very short drive to one of our favorite beaches Salty Brine, a short walk to view the sunset over the salt pond and a short drive to Point Judith Lighthouse. The house is so well equipped and it’s so nice that bedding and towels were provided. We appreciated the shortbread cookies left at the coffee/tea tray on the table. A nice little touch that made us feel welcome and at home. We would not hesitate to return hopefully again next summer.

Thank you so much!!! You are the perfect guests! We've appreciated your timely and sincere communication. And you left out beach house spotlessly clean. We eagerly anticipate hosting your Pt. Judith beach vacation next summer!
Warmly,

This was a last minute decision to take a week in Narragansett and finding this place was like finding a hidden gem. Everything was clean and it was nice not having to bring sheets and towels with us. The living room is comfortable, both bedrooms were well kept with comfortable beds but the best part? The side porch. It was wonderful after a day at the beach to relax with the windows open and a snack or drink coffee in the morning. I loved being so close to Galilee, Point Judith, and the beaches! Wil definitely be back next year.
This house was in a great location, walkable to both Scarborough State Beach and Point Judith Pond. While we were there for work, we were able to enjoy several afternoons and evenings at the beach and down at Point Judith, and make dinners in the house or on the grill.
The house was what I would expect of a beach house - linens clean and serviceable, if a little small in size. Despite the smaller size, we could each have our own space, both inside and outside. We were impressed that there was a full-size washer and dryer, which is great for sandy towels. Additionally, the wifi was very fast! Thank you for having us!

About the host
Hosted by Susan Garland
Our family’s roots run deep in Rhode Island—four generations strong. Some of us were born and raised here, others moved back after time away, but all of us have called this little gem of a state home. Even those who’ve traveled the world have kept Rhode Island as a touchstone. We love sharing our corner of the world with guests, especially in the summer when beach days, salty breezes, and slow sunsets make life feel extra magical. Hosting gives us the chance to open that experience up to others—to show you what makes Rhode Island so special.
Why they chose this property
Our family has been coming to this neighborhood for over four generations—it holds so many beautiful memories for us. It’s a place where kids have chased fireflies, parents have grilled dinner on the deck, and grandparents have sat back with ocean breezes on their faces. What we love most is the peaceful rhythm of life here—the salty air, the soft sound of waves in the distance, the mix of quiet moments and joyful gatherings. Surrounded by nature, with both the sea and the pond nearby, this neighborhood feels like a timeless little pocket of Rhode Island magic. It’s where we come to slow down, reconnect, and just be.
What makes this property unique
What makes our cottage special is the feeling it gives you the moment you arrive—warm, welcoming, and full of heart. It’s a true Rhode Island beach house, simple and sweet, with a lived-in, cottagey charm that invites you to kick off your shoes and settle in. Our family has made memories here for over four generations, and you can feel that sense of love and ease in every corner—from the sunny yard to the breezy sunroom.
Tucked between Salt Pond and the sea, the location is pure magic—catch the sunrise over the beach and the sunset over the pond, both just a short walk away. You’ll also find something uniquely comforting about the neighborhood itself, where friendly grandparents sit on porches nearby and wave hello, making it feel like the kind of place people dream about but rarely find. It’s not fancy—but it’s real, it’s peaceful, and it’s full of joy.
