Threatened to cancel on day of check in unless paid more $
I was hesitant to book as there were no reviews but there was a "New Listing" discount offering 20% off. Therefore I booked! On the day I was supposed to check in, the owner messaged me saying I needed to pay the additional money that was initially offered as a discount or he would cancel my reservation. I paid in a panic because I was arriving to a new city needing a week long place to stay, but this was inappropriate and a violation!
Pros: Otherwise this was a nice, clean, and relatively safe place to stay. This was great for a week long stay with plenty of space for 1-2 people. There were 3 different entry doors with different passcodes to get in which made it feel safe. The location was very central to many things downtown and the different areas. The water pressure and temperature were great and had nice new appliances
Cons: Of course the owner threatening to cancel if I didnt pay more money which made me feel not comfortable there and felt as if I made one wrong move I would get cancelled or locked out, the bathroom is a flip with half shower door which in turn soaks the entire bathroom making it a water closet, the tub was very flimsy. It is downtown and the street noise is very loud (Expected but just for others to be aware). Every time I tried to cook the smoke detectors would go off (even heating food in the microwave).
